It should still be true. We had the Packers beat in 04 with that game winning TD to Portis, but the ref hosed us with the stupidest penalty I've ever seen(up until this last week's game).

Default URBAN LEGEND: Final Home Game of the Redskins Predicts Winner of Election

Most of you know this fun fact...

Although the Redskins are no longer perfect at predicting elections (thanks, John Kerry), we as Redskins fans still have the honor of predicting 18 of the last 19 winners of the election.

According to snopes.com, the result of the final HOME game of the Washington Redskins determines who will win the election of POTUS. The rules are very simple:
    1. If the Redskins win, the incumbent president wins re-election or the incumbent party wins election.
    2. If the Redskins lose, then the incumbent president loses re-election or the incumbent party loses the election
    http://www.snopes.com/politics/ballot/redskins.asp

Therefore, on November 4th 2012, the Redskins will host the Carolina Panthers. If the Redskins WIN, then Obama will win re-election. If the Redskins LOSE, then Mitty is the next POTUS.

The election was the only positive for me in this weird little tradition, since we weren't even a day removed from getting our asses kicked on MNF.

True. But I also wonder about the 2000 election... where Gore won the popular vote while Bush won the electoral vote. Granted, Bush won, and that makes the streak true... it's still one of these "yeah but.." games.

BTW... Carolina is 1-5... other than that, how are they this year?

As the great Bubba9497 would say:

Me and my cosuin talk about that game at least five times a season. We really talked about it after that penalty on Davis and Morgan on Sunday. Both were complete bull

I guess that's the only catch on this whole RGIII thing. Doomsday is supposed to come before the paloffs even get a chance to start. Figures...
We don't know what we think, we don't know what we know. All we have to go on, is what we say and what we show...
