As long as RG3 keeps winning, then I honestly couldnt care less. Luck brought a team back that had 1 bad year with possibly the worst starting qb's to ever play the game. Griff is helping bring a team back from 20 years of misery. They dont take into account how much his speed opens up the lanes for our #1 rushing attack in the league and #4 offense.

I'm a fan of Luck, but it boggles my mind how a QB who was touted as so NFL ready and able to read defenses like Peyton could look so inept at times. If it really is on the offensive coordinator, they need to get him out quickly.
I want to say Peyton Manning threw nearly 30 int's in his rookie year. His second year he exploded. I could see Luck doing that.

But, I otherwise agree with you.

I really couldnt care less if RG3 wins any awards this year. All I or he for that matter care about is winning games, and he's in a much better spot to do that than Luck.

Agreed. Good for Colts fans if Luck wins ROTY, I hope Indy homers will do cartwheels in the streets and troll all the internet forums worldwide about how Luck is a better QB.

I'll take what Robert is doing over what Luck is doing any day, which is not leading the NFL in turnovers.

I wonder if the tool who wrote that article will write a new one now? lol since his QBR bull**** has been proven invalid since Luck is behind RG3 now in every statistical category except yards. lol

I, personally, hope RG3 does NOT win the Rookie of the Year award. I then hope he returns next year with a boulder sized chip on his shoulder, and lights the league up on his way to the Bowl!

ESPN can argue all they want about how great their silly QBR statistic is, and how it proves that RGIII isn't that good and Andrew Luck should be hailed as the best rookie QB of all time, yada yada yada.

Robert has a chance with these last two games to achieve something Andrew Luck cannot - win a division title in his rookie season. To me, that carries more weight than a new metric ESPN created just because they had the money to pay someone to come up with it.

Coming from ESPN I am surprised he didn't say RG3 wasn't black enough to win ROY.

I'll take the eyeball test over any of this "advanced metrics" garbage any day of the week. There will always be contrarian views, backed up with statistics that don't tell the whole story, that are used to conveniently push an agenda or biased point of view.

I don't see why it ruffles anyone's feathers here. They could write "RG3 sucks and is overrated" articles every day for the next decade and I could care less. It's kinda like having a really hot girlfriend. When you're out together, every dude around stares, and sometimes guys buy her drinks and ask her out. But in the end, who cares...you saved a little cash on drinks and she's going home with you.

I almost spit out my coffee when I read that write up. Now way can Luck be concerned to be a RG4. IMO, sans the wins, I think that Luck is a glorified Rex Grossman. ( No offense Rex) I mean Luck is a interception machine. He has thrown 18 int. If he was on the Skins teams, we would be calling for Kirk Cousins to start. Those ints may not have hurt them in previous games but they all count during the playoffs. When you get to the show, all the regular season stats/wins mean squat. Who can lead your team to a playoff victory and beyond is whats most important ! I dont' see that with Luck but I do see that with RG3, that we can damn near beat any team. So Colt fans, you can continue to laud your QB throws downfield albeit with alot of interceptions. And I will be happy with our lil completions that drive us down the field, use the clock and get in the endzone.

These guys out here acting like RG3 is like Ponder or somebody; they need to give my man some respect! What I find in my life, is that no one wants to show the Redskins some love and thats fine with me. I would rather take the respect. HAIL

I honestly think that Russel Wilson should get it. Especially if the Seahawks beat the 49ers and he was a big reason for it. A 3rd round pick doing what he is doing is pretty impressive.

Andrew luck shouldn't really be in the discussion anymore, he has thrown so many picks, and a lot of those comebacks were comebacks because he put the team in a hole early in the game. He is going to be good, but he shouldn't get rookie of the year.

Enough with the "babying" nonsense. If RGIII is being babied, then given how well our O is playing, why isn't the rest of the league following suit? Tired of clownage reporting by people who don't even watch the games. It's like most broadcast teams. Instead of calling the play-by-play and dissecting them for us, they go off on irrelevant tangents that no one cares about.

The difference is Peyton through you could see the progress, he threw more TDs then INTs the last half of that season. Luck isnt showing improvement in that area, still throwing INTs. Luck hasnt looked all that great to me. People say, well the only reason he has so many picks is because he throws so much. Well, throwing a lot doesnt excuse poor decisions. And then they want to point to all the yards he has thrown for. Well yeah, he throws a lot. Its an excuse for the picks, but ignored for the yardage.

Imagine if we'd started Beck all 16 games...
Sean you were one hell of a safety and an even greater role model for young men like myself. You played my position with the same reckless abandone I play it with. More importantly, you WEREN'T perfect and you MADE mistakes, a lot like me, and you were growing and maturing into a man, a lot like what I'm trying to do. And the fact that you're gone now only motivates me more, as a safety and as a young man, to carry on your legacy.

Yeah but Luck's Penalty EPR is so much better than RGIII's. That's how you define a real QB. [/sarcasm]
