Pacific Rim looks like my cup of tea.

(I don't know how to post the actual trailer clip but if anyone would care to help, I'd appreciate it)

Not exactly a high budget film BUT my wife plays one of the principle characters, so there ya go. The film will be premiered locally on January 19th and then go out to theaters, churches and various youth organizations.

It was filmed in Va, W. Va and NJ and It's based on true events. What the heck, Erik Estrada is in it so it's gotta be good. I was mainly there for moral support during the filming but they say it's a faith based film along the lines of "Courageous" (never seen it, just telling you what they say....)

Name of the film is "Finding Faith" and link to the film website is:

Yep, he is friends with the owner of my company and one day I was walking through work and bang, Erik Estrada walks through the door in front of me. He was such a nice guy, really down to Earth. I got a picture with him and everything. My company is in Forest which is about 15 minutes away from Bedford where they were filming. It was a really cool experience.

Two more damn movies that look great, yet feature Tom Cruise. He is a bane on my theater-going existence. I can't stand the guy and he continuously makes movies I like.

He also looks to have two more in the line--Van Helsing (I don't know if calling it a reboot of the Hugh Jackman bomb a few years ago is accurate) and MI5.

Just a heads-up on the Ah-nold flick---save your time. DVD at home when there's nothing else to do. Only a couple of good moments (if that) and the rest was so hard to buy so often (even when you suspend being critical knowing what you should expect) that it just wore the thing down. My prediction is out of all these major "old-guy action-star reborn" flicks, this will be the worst.

EXCLUSIVE: Raw Leiba linked to Highlander remake, says Marvel's Black Panther movie awaiting rewrite

    http://blogs.coventrytelegraph.net/t...g-rewrite.html

ACTOR and stuntman Raw Leiba has been linked to Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's remake of cult classic Highlander.

Ryan Reynolds is set to star in the title role of immortal Scottish swordsman Connor MacLeod, who battles others of his kind for the ultimate power and knowledge of The Prize.
Leiba is also expected to star as villain Erik Killmonger in Marvel Studios' planned Black Panther film, about an African prince who becomes a costumed crimefighter.

Leiba (pictured below alongside comic book art of Killmonger) says the Black Panther project is "going forward" and is awaiting Mark Bailey's rewrite of the screenplay. Marvel has not yet announced any release date or news on production.

Maybe I'm the only one on here that likes this series. Ok i'll admit the 1st one was bad in a good way, the 2nd was just plain bad, the 3rd was forgettable. However the 4th was solid, and I thought Fast5 was pretty darn good. It really got away from the corny street racing culture and focused more on the whole action/heist/car chase theme. It was like The Italian Job on steroids, and this one looks to be more of the same.

And then we have Pain and Gain, Michael Bay's latest. It looks like it will be more "Bad Boys" and less "Transformers" which is good.....I think? Either way I'm a Wahlberg fan, and shutting my brain off to see him and The Rock in an action flick can't be too bad. On another note, the movies is "based on a true story" (im guessing real loosley) I read parts of the MiamiNewTimes article that tells the story and it was quite a bizarre tale. I could see how this movie could be classified as a "Dark Comedy".

This isn't probably for everyone, but fans of studio ghibli should be happy. The original came out in 2011, so some may have already seen it.

    Ryan Reynolds as MacLeod?

    I'll still watch it.

Chris Pratt lands lead role in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy'

    http://social.entertainment.msn.com/...5-55429158f280

The "Parks and Recreation" star, who can currently be seen on the big screen as a Navy SEAL in "Zero Dark Thirty," will play Peter Quill, the child of an alien father and human mother who joins NASA and eventually makes it into space. There he encounters an alien presence known as the Master of the Sun who names him Star-Lord, leader of the cosmic police force known as the Guardians of the Galaxy.

    And here's the Big News:

In the comics, the Guardians and the Avengers teamed up to battle Thanos, the galactic super-villain glimpsed at the end of last year's "The Avengers." With the Guardians also rumored to be making a cameo at the end of "Iron Man 3," the stage is being set for both 2014's "Guardians" and 2015's "The Avengers 2."

For those who aren't aware, Top Gun is in the theatre this week in imax 3d. Went and saw it last night.

The film is still grainy in some parts but the sound was awesome.

Early reviews for Die Hard 5 dont look very promising, but the trailers and clips looked pretty bad, so i cant say im surprised. jack the Giant Killer also looks completely retarded by the trailers.

Does anybody else find it weird that there's a hansel and gretal movie and a jack and the beanstalk movie out at the same time?
