"The Oath" by Frank Perretti
A good version of "It" by Stephen King. The one that's on film already sucks.
Also, I'd like to actually see a movie that captures the story of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" in the animation it was created in that does the story justice. The actual movie that M. Knight Shalanlamabaohvbalalalaal did absolutely peaved me because he only did the 1st Book, didn't finish the story & changed things he didn't need to/shouldn't have changed.
BTW, I can't stand anything M.Knight Shalalsdelalaidbhdlalalal has done.

Serenity 2
Top Gun 2.... and supposedly it's being made and coming out next year but I fear it has disaster written all over it. They'll probably get some young, jive guy like Jamie Foxx to play the lead which is totally unrealistic and we don't have much air combat anymore so I can only imagine how they'll pull it off...
Also, would love to see another war movie without too much CGI and unrealistic monsters... im talking another Braveheart, Gladiator, Last of the Mohicans, etc...

Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Last time I checked its still up in the air.
Oh and I Am Legend! That debacle Will Smith starred in was not the titled book.

I would like to see a serious version of Doc Savage. Nothing like the POS the Ron Ely (a TV Tarzan) movie was. I understand it would be damn hard to cast effectively.
OT----I was thinking of Savage earlier, but in an ES related matter.
I was on my own a lot as a kid, and part of the "raising myself" (which I am sure explains a lot) dynamic included emulating certain traits I admired in fictional characters as well as real life role models not of my immediate family.
Doc was a genius and had "good manners", but one of Doc's more "peculiar" traits was a tendency to just ignore comments or questions that were "stupid" or simply "unnecessary."
He would not respond or even act like he heard the comment/question.
He just let such comments do what I labeled as "hang there in the silence so the stupid in it could have an opportunity to be seen in it's fullness by the one who uttered it and anyone present."
To me, it was like a cool way for everyone to maybe learn something.
I loved that move as teenager, and started making it one of my own. I still do it at times, including with some posts.![]()

After being subjected to breaking dawn part 2 last night by my girlfriend I got to thinking about what would make an epic movie. As a huge fan of the Dark Tower series all I can say is MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!! There is still hope after all.
Not a movie but a mini series about the Korean war and Vietnam like Band of Brothers , The pacific and the Kill generation
I am quite sure now that often, very often, in matters concerning religion and politics a man's reasoning powers are not above the monkey.----Mark Twain
I'd rather have a mini series about the eastern front during WW2 from the German perspective. Since it's something we don't ever get without comically vilified German-Nazi caricatures which ignore the fact that the majority of the Wehrmacht had nothing to do with the holocaust and were social democrats rather than nazis.
Wouldn't want to humanize them though I suppose. That could lead to feeling compassion for people we've been taught to despise uniformly.
