CWG tweet just now: "Latest NAM model showing no snow for DC after showing several inches in previous run. We cannot stress uncertainty enough w/ this forecast."

I dint think that people really take the NAM seriously but it sucks that not all of the models are falling in line.

There are reports the 18Z nam didn't run correctly.

I dint think that people really take the NAM seriously but it sucks that not all of the models are falling in line.

Apparently CWG takes them seriously when its runs fall in line with their prediction

Remember that storm in 2001 that hit at like 9:30 AM? Tysons Corner was a parking lot. Took me 3 hours to get from the mall to the beltway. It was a quarter mile!!!

well, technically there are parking garages at tysons corner so it is like a parking lot.

lol...i think 2 weeks ago they were bashing the Euro and then when the Euro came out today they were very quick to point out it doesn't support snow.

I like the CWG. They are pretty good in my opinion.

There is a lot to "miss" on with this storm. Two days ago, it wasn't even showing up on the models. I'd like to see us get 5+ inches but there is a serious letdown factor with this storm.

Nope, I was a young lad and not in the area at the time. I was thinking of the storm 2? years ago that hit mid-afternoon and covered the roads within an hour. I remember it was the area after the snowpocalypses and Towson was supposed to play Mason that night in Fairfax but their bus got stuck on the beltway.
