the snow hole on the latest EURO model is hilarious...its OK one year we will make up for the lack of snow from last year and this year.
no but its really only going to be 1-2 inches at most
DC snow hole. Nuff said.
we are driving up to Wisp tomorrow and it is under a winter storm warning. 8-10 inches. Good for the skiing, but I'm scared about the drive!
4 Wheel Drive is awesome. And I needed it badly, driving out of my neighborhood that had yet to be plowed, along with a few other trouble spots on the way to work..

A front or rear wheel drive car with proper snow tires will better handle snowy roads than a 4WD one on standard all season tires, believe it or not, and tires are far more important than the driven wheels. It's rather amusing to drive past stuck 4WD SUVs and AWD Audis and Subarus in a beat up old VW Golf on snow tires. The only thing connecting your vehicle to the road is its tires. If the tires don't work and don't grip in that surface then everything else is a moot point. All season tires should really be considered 3 season tires and snow/winter tires will actually perform better than their all season counterparts, even in the dry, once the temp drops much below 45 degrees. Any modern FWD sedan with snow tires on it should be more than adequate to handle 90% of the snow you'll ever see in most any metropolitan area in the US.

So, we are looking at up to 2 inches and things starting in the late-afternoon?
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

need a new sig
This morning 6 am. I am driving down Brighton Dam Rd just barely East of Brookeville. Oh, look. There's a dead possum in the road.
He's dead. No snow on him, so it must be a fresh hit. Too bad.
I come back roughly 20 mins later, and the dead possum is still there. But what is new is there is a very nice looking SUV embedded into a tree right next to it.
Yes. Some idiot was driving along, came upon a dead possum, and decided it would be a good idea to steer off the snowy road into a tree, rather than hit the dead possum.
His car appeared to be completely totaled. Front bumper bashed in. Grill smashed in. Hood up and bent and ajar. And him? Oh, he was fine. He was standing besides his broken vehicle on his cell phone.
I bet he was on the same call he was on when he went off the road.
This is why we wear our seat belts, ladies and gentlemen. They're idiots. Not you and me, of course. But everybody else. They're idiots. They're goddamn lunatics.
Watch out.
