I ****ing HATE ice. I would much rather deal with a frigid rain or 12 feet of snow, than 1/16th an inch of ice.

There was 0 traffic for me this morning. Was beautiful. I assume feds had the opportunity for unscheduled leave and telework, but maybe not.

Federal offices are closed until Noon with explicit instructions to stay off roads until 10am.

yeah the Feb 1st storm has been on the models for a while. At this point I'll just be in a wait and see mode.

It will be around 34, so it would be close......But most are calling for just snow showers/flurries...

At the end of the storm...I believe there is going to be a 30 degree drop in temperatures over a 12 hour span (to below freezing). Any standing water left should freeze over, right?

I flew out of Reagan early this morning (6:30) and things were definitely a bit icy. I made it to my desk at work just as the storm was arriving up here in the north. Looks like we'll get about 6" of the fluffy stuff up here.

We're actually having a relatively good winter up here so far. It's nice because we've had almost no snow the last few years.
