About 6-8 inches of snow up here. I believe approaching 70 inches for the season. Got me a day of no classes so no complaints here.

    IN MARCH?

    LATE MARCH, MIND YOU.

    This weather is ridiculous.
Snow in March is not some unprecedented phenomenon. There have been his historical snow storms in April on the East Coast. How long have you lived in the D.C. area?

The constant "ca-thunk, ca-thunk" of your nasty, dirty, gnarly unclipped toes on flip flops is ugly.
Honestly I'm ready for Spring and tired of the cold. My friends down there whine about when it is in the 30s and low 40s but this winter, a day above 30 degrees was a blessing. We went through two straight weeks of it not hitting 20 degrees. Unfortunately since it is going to be cold the rest of March I at least want to get as much class canceled and as much sleep as possible. But yeah, we're up near 70 inches of snow and areas in Connecticut have broken 100. We've been hammered and everyone's had enough. You win winter, now let us free.

I agree also, summer sucks. WAY too humid especially in D.C. Spring is where it's at.

For nearly my whole life. There hasn't been cold weather THIS late in March.

News just talked about it again. Where's spring at?

    ---------- Post added March-19th-2013 at 06:40 PM ----------

As you said no one wants this winter weather to continue

It was actually warm for a bit today in the DC area and I didn't have to wear 11 layers. That's a relief.

I just hope it means that it won't be 90+ for weeks on end this summer.

Thing is we should be getting moderate weather, but it's always bitter cold winters and sweltering hot summers. Plus all the bugs come out and fly around this room in the summer.

Region always on the extremes of weather

This is getting re%&#*%&$*ingdiculous. And usually I love snow.

No sign of warm air in the long term...

On the first day of spring, winter weather overstays its welcome
    By Ed Payne, CNN
updated 6:07 AM EDT, Wed March 20, 2013

"Definitely over winter," an exasperated David Riley of Lunenburg, Massachusetts, told CNN affiliate WHDH-TV. "I'm ready for spring." The town about 40 miles northwest of Boston received 15.5 inches of snow on Tuesday.
"Pretty sick (of this)," Fran Gallagher said. "Our house is going on the market at the beginning of April and we're getting out of here ... hopefully some place warm."

Times like these, I'm jealous of LA and Florida folk. Never snows there. Never under 50 degrees

Looks like a somewhat decent snow storm for the DC area Sunday night into Monday.

And that is after a mild Saturday. The weather during this time can be so different one day to the next. Accuweather has the DC area around 70 in 2-3 weeks.

The whole back floorboard of my Saturn is covered in about 3 inches of water, sunroof leaking, more rain for the next two days = ruined car. ****.

Anything more than an inch from this next storm would stun me. It's still just too warm. It won't be much of a disturbance. Don't mind it.
