As usual, it looks like DC will straddle the rain/snow line with the west side of the city getting more snow and the east side more rain:

The NAM (the third best model from what I understand) most recent run is all snow for DC. Take that with a grain of salt. I'd love for the other models to come to that conclusion as well. Better than going all rain though. The NAM has been the most aggressive model with this storm as well. Just another thing to consider.

Does the model show more cold air pulling in? Temps still look s a little high during the day.....

I'd suppose it has to. At least in the atmosphere. It is the NAM though, it always seems to overproduce compared to what actually happens. What we should be hoping is that the NAM is seeing something that the other models will catch on to later today.

Cwg just lowered the DC area to 6-9". Looks like the far NW portion of moCo and western md are gonna get 6-12"
