Question *What if* - Hypothetical new stadium ideas

I figure there's plenty of football talk going on, and with the bye week and all, hopefully this thread is okay.

    What if
the Redskins were the next team to consider a brand new, state of the art stadium within the next year or two? A stadium comparable to Dallas', Giants', and Colts'? As a fan, what would you like to see? Anything goes...

As for my idea, I'll say that I know some fans may be against going with a indoor stadium (think old school Vikings), but at this point in the NFL where the game has changed much more to a finesse, offensive game, I wouldn't mind an indoor stadium with a retractable roof.

*Disclaimer: This thread was not meant to condemn FedEX Field as a bad stadium, I just wanted to get some creative but realistic ideas from the ES members.

I'd try to change the thought-process and build a 45,000ish stadium in DC somewhere. Make it intimate and add some cool elements to it (everything should be Redskin-themed and colored with imagery, etc. built in).
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

I'm a go with a new stadium with a retractable roof.

The second we wiped a dead man's name off the stadium we had some bad karma coming back to haunt us. I'n serious the amount of crap that's happened to this team can only be attributed to a curse put on this team.

I think a new stadium will help us banish some of this bad karma.

Moving the team back to DC would be my first choice. I would then hire the architect that designed the Seahawks stadium for some noise advantage. I would also make it smaller, like 65,000 or so.

I believe we MUST build a dome for RG3. Each time he has played in a dome this year he had a great game. It will help us utilize his speed to the fullest.

Since Dan can't do anything until 2020. I guess we could bump this thread in 2019.

Come on man I did put that silly thing at the end but still somebody has to play the devil's advocate.

I want the stadium to be designed by the same peoplenthat design opera houses so that the noise bounces off the wall and comes straight down to the field.

So do we renovate FedEx Field? I don't mind the location so much but the stadium isn't very exciting, win or lose

Do a major revamp of RFK and play most home games there.

In the meantime, revamp Fedex too so it's not an unholy nightmare. Play the really important home games, like divisional or playoff games, at Fedex with the larger crowd, but play the lesser games at RFK with the more home field atmosphere.

Starting in 2020, of course. Unless Snyder can breach or alter his contract, which, considering his coffers, I'm sure he could.

I honestly don't know what they could do to make it more louder and entertaining... Snyder and the rest of the skins organzation did'nt think things threw before they built the stadium.I like it myself its just the team that sucks. If they ever start winning on a constant basis then that stadium would be a major home field advantage.I personaly think they built it to big but I guess thats were I grew up watching them play at rfk.Man I wished we still played there!!

I'd start building a stadium just like RFK on the site of RFK. Maybe remodel RFK? The team needs to be back in DC where it belongs. Fedex is a hell hole.
