To me, this is the turning point of the season.

When you lose a game like that, now you're playing to see who, obviously, is going to be on your football team for years to come
After Mike Shanahan spoke those words this team has played like it wants to win. It's playing like it believes that it can win every game. It's won ever single game since those words were spoken. Mike Shanahan knows what he's doing. What he did was motivate a team of younger players, motivate a team that believes in him. Two decisive victories and a close win against the leader of the division.

These last three games are games that at 3-6 everyone expected to lose. These were games that our Washington Redskins would normally lose. Instead of throwing away the last three games, the team found itself. This team is playing inspired football right now and I believe that Mike Shanahan is a large part of that.

This statement by Mike Shanahan was the turning point in the season.

Some people may someday realize that they do themselves little favor in any way in life to just be spring-loaded in the "fire" position to "opinionate" on every matter at every opportunity.

Pause, reflect, and think is always an option. Sometimes its ok to either not care, or just decide "I don't know enough to have an intelligent opinion" and leave it at that and move on.

It can be a whole new and better world , even if you end up with the same bottom-line opinions on most things as you had with your "shoot at every sound you hear" style.
"Captain, it's a viewpoint--not one of ours! We're under attack!"

"I see it, ensign! Engage amygdala! Transfer all power from frontal lobes!

Suspend critical thinking field! Go to course heading of reflexive response 101 at full bias!
    Now!'Enter' at will!"

"It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so."
