I think at the end of the day being unable to win your home state is too quickly dismissed.
The soldiers gave three cheers as they urged their tired horses north across the uneven hills. Some of the mounts, exhausted after a week of almost continual marching, began to lag behind; others, spurred on by their enthusiastic riders, began to edge past the regiment's commander. "Boys, hold your horses," Custer cautioned; "there are plenty of them down there for us all."

@granthpaulsen: RT @daveweigel: Romney-Ryan becomes first presidential ticket to lose both candidates' home states since McGovern-Shriver, 1972.

    I could see it.

Especially if Fiscal Cliff triggers another recession.

If Scott Brown cant win in the NE, then the GOP should fold up their tents and spend all of there energy and money elsewhere. It's obvious the people in NE are more concerned with the letter in front of the candidate than anything else.

One of the pundits on fox said earlier that he's not surprised that Obama did so well with the woman vote, because "that has been a focus for the dems"

That's the kind of thought process that will keep republicans out of the white house for years to come. Unbelievable that they are that dumb

Yep. Tonights results will give the GOP absolutely no avenue to agree with Obama on anything.

We get the Govt we deserve......

Don't know a thing about either, but you had to assume a Rep in Ted Kennedy's old seat would be short lived, right?

Seriously? According to the talking heads all he needed was ~20% of Dems to pull it off. Do you think maybe the consideration of how his fellow Grand Oligarch's Party members have acted played a part in his not reaching that very high threshold? I guess the big picture doesn't count in the calculation regarding bipartisanship, huh?
