great speech. obama seems energized. a cnn reporter insists that obama is going to take his cases to the people this term. it's what he's best at. i hope he does.

Absolutely it's not solved.
1. It's still illegal federally.
2. You think the cartels that pump marijuana and heroin-laced marijuana up the I-25 corrider are going to pack up and go home?
Since medicinal marijuana was legalized in CO, we've seen a marked increase in marijuana usage among the youth population...which is not a good thing from a publice health perspective.
And please save me the typical arguments of alcohol being legal, or youth can already access marijuana so it's no big deal, or hey it's legal in Amsterdam and Portugal with no "problems." They are non sequitur agruments.
I don't recall ever classifying the Amendment 64 passage as a "public health crisis." There's no doubt marijuana legalization is going to have a detrimental public health impact. It remains to be seen how severe or non-severe that impact will be.

I don't know what possessed me to pop over to the tailgate on election day, but I'll offer my two cents before heading back to the stadium where I belong:
Are people still peddling this "Reefer Madness" nonsense?
Fine by me of course, it is your opinion, but I'm not buying it, and neither is the public apparently. Decriminalization of marijuana almost always passes referendum. Colorado and Washington are more the rule than the exception. Not that the public is always right, but I think in this case they are.

Probably, although I would venture at least 40% of those are racist, although I will happily assume you are in the other 60% of the haters.
I'm not one to cry racism easily, but it looks pretty bad when old white men are the only ones against him, which is what it is. Women, minorities of all stripes, and young people all favor Obama by a wide margin. What else are we to make of this discrepancy, I mean honestly?
The GOP will do well to move past the ideology of the 1950s before everybody who was alive in the 1950s kicks the bucket. Otherwise the next generation will move past them.

The press asked a Redskins executive about the salary cap penalty and the executive responded, "Ask John Mara." So the press asked Mara and he said, “What they did was in violation of the spirit of the salary cap. "
Oh I see now, even though there was no actual salary cap in 2010 according to the CBA, the "spirit" of the salary cap still existed. Thanks for clearing that up Mara.

Score another one for the 7 Eleven cup poll. Four in a row since they started it in 2000

Has anyone seen Nate Silver? Is he still partying? LOL
Oh and seriously, Fred Davis will be on the Denver Broncos next year, book it!
So wait...you're saying that marijuana is one of the biggest problems facing our law enforcement, troubling our teens, and causing health problems??? I think not...
On behalf of former teenagers everywhere who smoked weed all through high school, graduated from college and landed a decent job to become productive members of society, I'd like to call bull****.
