Anyway, recording voting machines is illegal. I got into a discussion with this on another forum. Perhaps he should have just asked the judge and gotten it fixed instead of filming it. And it's just me and my old school mentality, but not everything has to be a video

I disagree. Making things like this public is better than keeping it quiet.

Having said that with touch screens sometimes what you see in the video happens and it's not a nefarious attempt to usurp power. It's just ****ty touch screens.

As far as I can remember, the incumbent is always listed at the top of the choices.

and even if i am remembering that wrong, O comes before R, and so does D.. so it would seem that this particular machne has just thrown out all convention, listed the challenger first, and if that isn't part of the criteria, it also ignored alphabetizing th names or even tha parties.

On my paper ballot, here in the Nation's Cap, Romney was the first person.

I would think something is wrong with the calibration, but he said that wasn't the case. Either dude is one heck of a story-teller or he is telling the truth. Neither would surprise me.

True...and the more they're used the worse it gets.

ATM machines routinely give me the option next to the one i pressed and force me to re-do things.

Mine was fine, and the machine i used didn't look like that at all.

If someone was REALLY trying to commit voter fraud, couldn't they just program the machine to vote for candidate X even thought the screen displays Y? I mean, that way no one would ever know.
