I find the Santa thing interesting because the entirety of the Romney campaign was I will cut your taxes and increase spending and by doing so will decrease the defecit and stimulate the economy. Isn't that about the most "Santa" thing you can imagine. Obama was the one saying we need to pay more in taxes and cut programs. Romney was the guy pretending to be Santa. Even so far as saying that his math could all work because of elven magic.

See your problem is you keep letting reality affect your understanding of things. You need to stop that, O'Reilly said that the people want Santa so that must be the truth.

Saying someone ELSE needs to pay more taxes while promising more benefits and tax cuts is what the crowd heard........but you are right they both promised much(as usual)
Enjoy victory ,but the bills are due

    Take it in stages.

It was pretty well established that the 47% of video tape infamy was very likely evenly divided in who they would vote for and possibly leaned towards Romney. It has also been established that the majority of the 47% are not what most would consider "on the dole". Santa Claus is a nice simplistic way to explain the loss, but you are deluding yourself.

Right now I'm probably more concerned that the Republican Pary is becoming a party for Facisim. Not sure if anyone else here has felt that way, but living where I live I see alot of similarities with the consevatives and Facism.

could be... or it could be Obama voters deluding themselves over what is ahead and where we are fiscally.

The percentage of Democrats saying the U.S. economy is “getting better” averaged 74% over the first two weeks of October. This is up from 59% who held this view in August and 70% in September. At the same time, 14% of Republicans said the economy is getting better over the first two weeks of October. This is the same as the 14% of Republicans who said so in August and September. Overall, the surge in economic confidence among Democrats has played a significant role in increasing the overall percentage of Americans saying the economy is getting better to 43% during the first two weeks of October.

America has become slightly more fascist as a whole since 9/11.

but the Republican party's desire to control a woman's vagina is pretty extra.

Well there certainly is a partisan divide, who is right is debatable. There are a lot of signs that the economy has been slowly improving.

I doubt 74% of Democrats would say the economy is good.

I hope you are right, but I don't see it looking at the bigger picture
I would be happy to be wrong

I am, but I believe I backed up my assertion with evidence. Personally I am unsure of what is going to happen to the economy due to a dysfunctional government, and am considering moving out of stocks for a while.
