Threads like these are so depressing. I think we have enough of them at this point, no offense LL.

    IF no Mike:

    Hire a GM

Let the GM hire a young HC that is a leader of men

    The GM/Coach pick a staff:

OC- Either the HC or the OC must have prior experience w/ both an developing a QB and the WCO offense (Tom Clement, Rick Dennison, Bruce Arians)

    Hire a 34 DC
Have to agree with the RG3 part.. Imagine if Luck, Tannehill, and Wilson all find their way into the playoffs this year. Coming into the season we were suppose to have the strongest supporting cast to implement a rookie QB into.

I would go along with you on the plan as well. Personally I want a hungry assistant that burns to make a name for himself to lead the way.

Make Jim Haslett the OC and Danny Smith DC. Bring in former Lakers HC Mike Brown to take over for Shanny. Antwaan Randel El for ST.

Honestly, I think its time to cut Shanny but, would we really be able to pull in a quality candidate that can be "our next" Joe Gibbs?

And are we seriously talking about a new GM already??

I guess we are only a few losing seasons away before we start questioning RG3?

Also...see the Redskins over the past 20 years...just saying.

Please elaborate. Is Kyle in the hot seat here????? Seems odd the redskins wouldn't want him but another team would......

    lol

I was never a fan of Mike Shanahan. Never liked him in Denver, never wanted him in DC. But, he became our HC so I supported him. I just see us parting ways with him well before he'd guide us to our 4th Lombardi. So, why wait? The better teams see problems before they are problems. The Redskins seem to wait until its a near death experience before they start thinking about change.

I am all about continuity if you see progress. As you said, all the good teams do have continuity and make things work. However, I really think we are regressing. Even if this is our 1st season of having a QB since I was a little tyke. If I were even born yet.

If there is a change, would Bruce have more say in choosing players?

So we finally start scoring points, our offense is keeping us in games, and we are approaching a near death experience worthy of getting rid of a coach that created the offense?

Notice the teams at the top, most of them have had the same coach for a while.

One more point, we have a 2nd ranked rushing offense and a 23rd ranked passing offense, and a 7th ranked scoring offense, i'm assuming when RG3 starts to REALLY click in this system we will only be better. Our problem is the Defense, not Shannys offense.

    I don't know yet.

If we decide,to pull the plug, I want to keep Allen and task him with hiring a personnel guy first and foremost. After that, let Allen work with his new GM to assemble a staff. I would be excited to have a true hierarchy with a coach who answers to a GM and have Allen as the buffer between the football minds and the owner.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

Kudos to bettering our offense but, he crippled our defense and special teams in the process.

There's going to be some head coach openings this season, he's on the last year of his deal, and there's lots of teams that'll be probably drafting a quarterback high this offseason...
