We already tried to claim him once. The issue isn't really would we try to get him off waivers because we already have.

The issue is "who gets cut if/when we do claim him". In that case, Banks is safe. Dezmon would be gone.

I am trying to understand why this team did not make any roster moves of significants during the bye. I saw the Raiders released a starting cb that played very well according to some analyst but was caught in a numbers game. Pat Lee is the cornerback's name. Pat Lee is actually going through waivers so hopefully the Skins put in a claim

I loved AA's story and felt really hopeful about him. He seems to have hit a roadblock though. Wouldn't mind seeing him come back, but have mixed feelings just based on his failure to work out elsewhere too. That said, I'd be happy to root for him again.

Jim Haslett is a horrible coach.

He already did it once this season, brought back White when Orakpo got hurt. Subsequently cut him again because he did nothing.

This is actually a really silly, media driven mentality. Mike Shanahan's ego drives everything.

If there's one thing that we have learned, it's that Shanahan knows when he's wrong, and corrects it. He let McNabb go after 1 year. He traded a 2 and 3 for McNabb. He could have just tried to ride it out and not show how badly wrong he was. But he didn't. He swallowed his pride, and traded his sorry ass to Minnesota.

The one thing Shanahan hasn't been is overly stubborn on personnel. If he thinks he made a mistake, he changes and releases players, or re-signs players.

This is just Lavar Arrington/Chad Dukes type of poppycock.

EDIT: I remembered the hard one and forgot the easy one. Thanks, TK. Did the same thing with Cooley.

There appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope it's not a train.

Back when I was trying to figure out who we were going to keep of Garcon, Morgan, Moss, Hankerson, Robinson, Briscoe, Banks, Armstrong, Austin, and a couple other guys, I always felt that if we kept 6 Banks, Austin, and Armstrong should have been left out.

Thing is, we kept 7, and I liked Armstrong a lot more than Banks.

Bring him back, have him run go routes a couple times a game, and we have RGIII who can actually get him the ball deep. If nothing else, it'll help push defenses back, which should allow for Morris and RGIII to rush a little more effectively.

I am all for the separation of Redskins and Banks... bringing in Armstrong... eh... he couldn't cut it on the Dolphins or the Jaguars... and if you lose to the Jaguars, they kick you out of the league. So, let's cut Banks and bring in anyone who has defensive back experience.

Thing is, on the Dolphins, it wasn't like he played himself out of a job; he got a hamstring injury in Week 1 and it nagged until he got cut (ironically enough I think he got cut for Gaffney but I could be wrong). For the Jags he wasn't even active and basically had no time to learn a completely different playbook.

And as for DB's, what defensive back out there right now is any better than what we currently have? Stanford Routt got ****canned because he was bad, unfocused and undisciplined, and we already have those guys in our secondary.

And I can't stress this enough; Banks is going to be here for the rest of the year. Buckle in. It's going to be a long, pointless ride.
