    Not happening.
Like when he benched McNabb? Or when the guy he "put his reputation on" Beck got yanked for ineffectiveness?

Bringing Markus White back after releasing him? Chris Cooley?

I can't speak for his time in Denver but Mike Shanahan hasn't hesitated to reverse course on player decisions when it has become obvious a mistake was made.

I remember reading that the Miami Dolphins were disappointed in AA's inability to get open down field. One wonders if that is the same way Jax felt?

If that is truely the case then will AA really make a difference back in the lineup?

I agree that Banks is horrible and I also agree that we should have made some moves during the bye. Anything at this point is better then what we have in place now.

Oh and by the way and !

For the Jags he wasn't even active and basically had no time to learn a completely different playbook.

And as for DB's, what defensive back out there right now is any better than what we currently have? Stanford Routt got ****canned because he was bad, unfocused and undisciplined, and we already have those guys in our secondary.

And I can't stress this enough; Banks is going to be here for the rest of the year. Buckle in. It's going to be a long, pointless ride.
And the Jags are talent starved... and the Dolphins aren't much better at WR, bottom line, he wasn't good enough for either of them, man. He had one good season here and now has been cut by two teams, when a lot of guys on here said "he was going to make us pay."

At this point, I'm relying on probabilities and statistics. (Hopefully Oldfan doesn't read this, because there is a great chance I am getting this wrong, but it's the spirit that counts!). So, by that, I mean, the more DBs we bring in, the better chance we have at finding one who contributes.

But, if we get on a roll, I'd cut Banks for a veteran reciever... there are a few of them out there who can contribute right now.

Briscoe must be really struggling in practice. I had high hopes for him coming into the year.

I don't think it's that. Briscoe doesn't play teams and doesn't return. Armstrong does play teams and doesn't return. Banks returns and he's Danny Smith's best friend.

It'd be easier to keep Briscoe if he played teams, but since he doesn't, he'd be the guy we cut.

Or we could end up with a bunch of guys who suck.

People on the market at this point in the season are on the market for a reason. Though it does piss me off that Madieu is still here.

An argument that could apply to AA.

That said, I'd bring him back. He's actually produced for us, unlike most of our WRs who have shown no more than potential, but little actual production.

Yeah... like we do now right? So, no harm = no foul.

The point I am getting at (and not to nit pick) is why dump Banks for someone we dumped back during cutdown day? Why not bring in someone else who hasn't played or bring in a guy off another teams practice squad?

The dude has some wheels and has shown he can go up and get the jump ball. RG could use a weapon like that.

Has he developed an ability to beat the press yet?

I wouldn't waste a roster spot on him, he was cut here for a reason because he was unreliable at receiver and couldn't separate himself from the guys we already have. If armstrong couldn't make it in jacksonville where they really need receiver help, then he must have really stunk.

Id bring him back. Banks is useless and Armstrong is a better than receiver Aldrick Robinson who has been a big disappointment

I liked AA but no I don't want him back. He has been fighting injuries since last year and like others said he gets jammed at the LOS.

Beck was so bad, he really didn't have a choice but to yank him. And it's easy to bring guys (who already know the system) back after someone goes down with an injury. That's not the same as admitting you're wrong. Lets see if he cuts someone he originally kept over Armstrong to bring him back.

Wait a minute, I live in Jax. I didn't even know he was on the roster. The crazy part is Jax just doesn't go deep. They just started taking shots w/ Cecil Shorts. To the best of my knowledge AA didn't have any hands issues. If we're concerned about him getting off the LOS and jams. How about the coaches coaching. Put the guy in motion or how about stacking the WRs. Lining up off the LOS. By no means am I challenging our coaching staff, but these are simple solutions.
