How do you figure? I mean, I get you're saying it's the big 'NFC East tour' coming up, but it doesn't matter who we're playing or in what order. You shouldn't have gotten your hopes up for a 9-7 record at all, in RG3's first year. Especially not when multiple, very very key guys are injured early.

The injuries matter dude. Big time. It sounds neat to say 'let's overcome it', but it matters. This defense was going to lean almost entirely on the pass rush, and Carriker and Orakpo were very crucial to that. Then the 2 best receivers as well. You lose all that, you're not asking your coaches to pull their head out of their ass, you're asking them to pull a rabbit out of a hat.

Agreed this will be fun though. Why not, let's just play the NFCEast back to back to back lol. RG3 already did everything necessary to beat the Giants, in their house, and I do have a feeling he's the kind of player that benefits from a bye week and comes out sharp.

I can't say I disagree. Losing Davis and PG did hurt. Also people are forgetting about Roy Helu. I love Alfred but Helu brought a different dynamic to the running game with his speed. Helu also can catch out of the backfield and take it the distance. I think the injuries on the Offense hurt more than the injuries on D. I think the D problems are more related to the coaching. I think that Hass can get more out of that group than he is. We can not rely on just rushing 4 down lineman.

I love the trade for RGIII but Rams have to be licking their chops. They get next year AND the year after that number 1s! The lack of first rounders and the $18M cap hit really hurt.

I just want to see this team play with some fire like they had been early in the season and late last season. Shanahans major disconnect is being able to relate to and get these guys ready to lay it all on the line. Anything less than max effortt guys need to be gone by the time next years camps start even if we are fielding rg3 and a team of backups its better than watching the quit in some of these guys.

Again, and I've said it a million times already, it's about HOW these opinions are presented. The brash hopelessness and unwillingness to accept any good or positives presented by anyone else is the problem. For every positive post about the direction of this team (and there is no doubt there are plenty of positives), we get a hundred posts trying to crush such sentiment.

It has nothing to do with disagreeing or others presenting differing opinions. There are many posters who criticize here that aren't a problem because they don't do it incessantly and they don't whine. There's a difference. If you refuse to acknowledge that, that's fine. I'm sick of people responding to my posts calling the incessant complainers out with this silly straw man argument that I have a problem with people presenting different views. That's ridiculous, considering how many good-natured debates I've been in here. Plenty of members can attest to that.

My point stands and stands strong. We analyze and criticize the Redskins like we're just media members too much. Being a fan includes having hope for your team, and rooting for them no matter what. Not constantly insulting staff and criticizing every weakness no matter how true they are. It's clear that with many members here that balance has been lost.

I feel the cap hit hurt the team more than the trading the draft picks. After next years draft we'll still have Griffin. Any holes could've been addressed through free agaency. Here's hoping the team can free up some cap space.

I have hope until we are fully, mathematically eliminated. Then it all becomes evaluation. Until then, we fight for the playoffs. I want to see this team come out with fire. If they lose, so be it, but i want to see a fire in their eyes. I want them fighting for every yard, for every stop and every point. I want an effort that we can be proud of. 3-6 is tough to come back from. I want to see the character this team posseses and am pretty optimistic about the things we will see.

How the team responds after a bad loss, after a bye week at home will give a pretty good indication of if the coaching staff has lost the team at all. I expect them to come out strong and play hard. If for some reason they come out flat..it will be a long game and long rest of the season. I will be in the lower bowl screaming sporting the RG3 #10...

I have to disagree with you. The loss of Orapko and Carricker has hurt the defense. This defense finished 13th last year, with 40 plus sacks. The Skins secondary can't cover. So, how is Haslett suppose to bring the heat when the secondary is suspect? This looks like the 2006 season, when Gregg Williams defense went through the same issue. The secondary.
