POLL: Do men think women w/ curves or a little "junk in their trunk" are sexy?

I use to love the bags of bones, but I'm starting to like girls with a more full body.

I still hate fat chics and think it's a sign of not taking care of yourself, sloppy.

The last few girls I dated were a little heavier than my norm, but in a way that they can fill a pair of yoga pants out correctly. Almost no jiggle in the butt.

I agree with you for the most part...

But I think you're minimizing the effect objectification of a woman's body in our current society has on a female's psyche. Additionally, IMO, flippant comments, jokes, teasing, etc. are very much a factor in this overall issue and I think you are brushing that off when in fact, it is a vital element.

I do agree with you that society needs to shift focus toward healthy lifestyles rather than what the woman's body looks like. But who are we kidding, that is never going to happen,

While I do agree with you, I think the problem steams more from Americas immature view of nudity and fear and wonder of their own naked bodies. Sex is a bad word and healthy conversations about those things are rare.

We have reversed the shock we get from violence and nudity.

Something occurred to me looking at the pictures again. I've always been a big "hair" guy when it comes to women; it's just one of my things. I hate, hate, hate short hair on women. The pixie, the pageboy, the Ellen Degeneres, whatever the hell those hairstyles are called, they look awful. Take Miley Cyrus for example. She's a little too young for me anyway, but this most recent hairstyle she came up with...hideous. If a woman doesn't have hair at least past her chin (shoulder length much preferred) I wouldn't have considered her for anything long-term. I hate the "easier to take care of" excuse. I just can't get past it.

The reason this occurred to me was looking at the pictures again, I realized that while I don't care for the bag of bones look, the hair on some of the models really bugs me. In the first skinny pic, the model on the left has a good hair length but it has some sort of stringy look to it, the middle one's hair doesn't match her face/body, and the one on the right looks like a cyborg. The middle picture is all wrong, and the bottom one looks alright, but kind of unkempt.

Now look at the "curvy" models. With the exception of the Tina Turner lookalike, they all hair really nice, full hairstyles which match their faces/body types. It goes a long way, especially for me.

I really like fit girls, girls of the crossfit variety, but I do find girls with curves attractive as well.

Yeah, college definitely spoils us... I think it has to do less with age and more with the people you surround yourself with. If you associate with fit people, you're probably going to have a higher standard no matter what age you are.

I like them between curvy and thin, but not real thin. My type is in the photo with the 4 women, 3rd from the left, dark hair, black bathing suit. My wife is 5-7 and would look anorexic at less than 120lbs. She usually looks good between 130 and 145 lbs. I think (just guessing) she's around 140 right now. But my wife is the type that she can carry an extra 10 pounds and you can't really tell. But I've never had an issue with her weight. She's a latin girl born in Peru, South America.

I'm sorry, but I honestly don't know what some guys see in Serena Williams. First, she's fugly. Yes, fugly. She has a manly face and he body is not athletic, she looks like a damn manish body builder. All the other girls you suggested are beautiful. I can't wrap my head around why some men find Serena good looking. She's nasty.

Reading through some of the responses in this thread should put to rest any question about why young girls these days groow up with serious body image/self-esteem issues.

I don't think anyone has come out and said, "I hate fat/obese" girls. But you have to remember that men are visual first and most men would not date an over-weight woman. But if you go on the streets and observe, there are alot of men dating/married/involved with an over-weight woman.

I think most responses in here have been pretty fair and honest. Nobody has come out and said, "size 2 or lower," or I won't even look at you. I think you're trying to get on a soapbox about something no one in here has even mentioned. That's more on the media than people in general.

I've dated women who were considered over-weight, but not obese. I've dated skinny girls and I'm married to an average/curvy woman.

Those bathing suits look like they'd cut off circulation to the legs, but yeah, she'd definitely have my attention. Also, I'm pretty sure the two women on the outside are the same person.

Has to have curves, but I mean that not in the way the women in the OP have meat on them.

No gut, nice stomach, hourglass hips/waist and a nice big booty are the curves I'm talking about. Chest is a bonus but not required at all. I would consider that fit not skinny or "dead for 4 weeks" like the second option of pics posted.

I like women who have more meat on their bones so to speak, but my general rule is this: A beautiful woman will be beautiful at 110 lbs, 160 lbs, 210 lbs, etc. it has a lot more to do with the person as a whole than just the amount of fat on their body. A lot of the time people will look at a fat woman and say "ugh look at that disgusting fat girl over there" but the fact of the matter is she probably isn't considered ugly or disgusting solely because she's fat, she's probably considered that way because she's ugly in general. She would be ugly at 110 lbs, 160 lbs, let alone 210 and up.

This is speaking generally of course. There are people who believe that a woman over the weight of 120 lbs is a whale and is totally undesirable as a human being. There are people who are attracted to 300+ pound woman who don't understand how anybody couldn't be. I'm neither of them but I guess you could say I like chubby women, whatever that means. People's definitions of what makes someone chubby vary of course- to the first type I described, chubby begins at around 115 lbs, for the second group chubby might begin at around 260 lbs. weight is also an inaccurate measure of fatness. You could have two women who are both 150 pounds. Try to picture what they look like. Now picture this: one of them is 5'1 the other is 6'1. They look very different now, don't they?

As far as the photos go, look at the 2nd girl. She's perhaps almost chubby by my definition. I like women who have something to hold on to, preferably something that is soft and squishy- without a jagged edge to it. I don't want to grab a woman's hips and feel a sharp protruding bone. I like women who aren't concerned with eating the healthiest thing possible all the time. I mean I wouldn't want somebody to pig out on unhealthy food 24/7 because I of course believe that plenty of people can be "fat" and still be far healthier than their skinny counterparts. I wouldn't want a woman who is insecure about herself or my opinions of her. I remember my brother once told his wife that if she gets fat he's going to leave her. He thought it was a funny joke (which is how he said it) but I saw her face. She wants to have kids at some point. She isn't going to be under 110 lbs forever.

My wife has put on a little bit of weight since we got married (she's barely chubby) and she asks me what I think about it sometimes and I just say I love her and I think she looks great, then I ask her how she feels about it. I always tell her that if she doesn't like it I'll do whatever I can to help her lose weight if it means feeling better about herself, if she does like how she looks or is neutral on the matter then I'll be happy with her, and happy that she is happy with herself. Sure there is a limit to what I think is sexually appealing, and I think the same can be said for everybody in the high and low weight ranges, but just from what I know about my wife, I trust that she isn't going to let herself get past that point. If she did, I wouldn't be a dick about it though. I don't get people who are ****ty to woman about their bodies. Things happen, people get fat or lose weight. If it happens it can be worked out without name calling and other childish acts.

Overall I'd say there is nothing less sexy than a self-conscious woman to me. Always needing reassurance that she's good looking, always fearing she isn't as pretty and as acceptable as she "should" be...ugh I can't stand to be around people like that. Give me a woman who is chubby, but confident in who she is and how she looks and she'll be 500 times more appealing to me than a woman who asks "am I too fat?" when the scale reads 124...or 144 for that matter.

I will note, however, the irony in your very post where you say this is more of a media issue, than a individual comment issue...then go on to eviscerate how Serena William looks, calling her names like "fugly," "nasty," and "mannish bodybuilder"

Yeah, I agree. The Serena comments weren't nice at all. Imagine a 15 year old girl being called names like that by people and how she would feel.
