I wish there was a team out there willing to give Tebow a shot so the debate can end and the ESPN media wave can move on to something else.

"It was like he was Jason on 'Friday the 13th' -- man just wouldn't go down," - Honolulu bar patron on Trent Williams being tasered and smashed over the head with a champagne bottle.
I think the teams that could use him, they are afraid to play him in case he is successful. He can be successful in some things he does, but long term he won't be the QB you can win with. Not unless you are willing to completely do things differently. But in the short term he could be successful (like last year), and cause the team to have to make a tough choice. The Broncos were lucky that Peyton was available, otherwise they would be playing Tebow or someone lesser. If he plays and it works, you can't just replace him unless it's a marquee name. Otherwise, fans and media will be calling for that Tebow magic.

If Sanchez doesn't show improvement against the Rams, Rex should start Tebow.
Either he'll prove himself or it shuts up the media who has created a QB controversy since the day Tebow was signed.

I dunno... good DC or not, Rex has plenty of his own baggage and would inevitably do something to embarrass us.

I'm not so sure. Keep in mind that the one thing Shanahan wanted was a 3-4 defense. Other than that, Haslett has had free rein to do what he wants with the defense (selecting players he wants, etc).
I don't think Shanahan would care about having Rex Ryan as his DC. The only thing I'd guess would be that Shanahan would be concerned about Ryan running his mouth to the media.
LOL - was this unnamed D player on the team last year? "Terrible" Tebow beat that very Jets D last year.....Wow, they are circus. Show up more w/ the media than they do on the field.
You can't measure passion for the game.
This what you get when you let Santonio stay on the team after quitting on the team and getting benched. When you let Antonio Cromartie declare himself the teams best wide receiver. The one thing a leader can't tolerate is for his people to start attacking eachother. We all saw the uproar here when Portis decided to start throwing team mates under the bus. It causes nothing but problems and does not motivate anyone to play better.
I think the Jets, especially the defense, is still salty from what Tebow did to them last year when he put the nail in their coffin, so to speak.![]()
Bruv that's not cool. Its kinda bad karma to hope a guy loses his job. Even somone as obnoxious as Ryan.
Even if Rex gets sacked who's to say he'll come here? Maybe Shanahan won't want him on his coaching staff, for a myriad of reasons; their personalities don't mesh. Rex will be a distraction. Doesn't want the competition etc, etc, etc.
For the record if RR was our new DC I'd dig. With his exotic looks and aggresive schemes he would be a breath of fresh air given how bad the current D is now. But another poster brought up a brilliant alternative in Mike Pettine (the Jets current DC). He knows RR's schemes and has experience in both 3-4 and 4-3 defenses.
All the other D's with the pumped up schemes
You better run, better run, outrun my QB
All the other D's with the pumped up schemes
You better run, better run, faster than RG3.
