Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Just look in the mirror and realize that you are a terrible person, responsible for thousands upon thousands of people missing out on the Thanksgiving Holiday to be with their family.
Instead, they get to go to work so you can get in line before anyone else to buy your cheap crap made in China to give to the few people you know who actually can stand being around you.
I don't even blame Wal mart or Target for opening on Thanksiving. Just you.

I agree. The only thing I don't like about it though is that most of my family members don't have a clue about football. So I'm sitting there biting my tongue, listening to them talk about the game. Drives me nuts, sometimes.

Here's the dirty little secret: Thanksgiving sucks. It's the most godawful boring day of the year. It's 18 hours of nothing with one hour of overeating. I dread the idea of entertaining my kids all day. I may just send them to the park and hope for the best.
Thank God for movie theaters.
(I also used to go the movies during the evening of Christmas Day. Christmas Eve is awesome. Christmas morning is great. Christmas Day afternoon is blah. Christmas Day night is death).

Exactly how I feel!! Thanksgiving is about a week of hype:"Cant wait to stuff my face on Thanksgiving!" and then the day roles around, you fill your gut, and by 4pm your bored out of your mind. (depending on when you have the meal, some people are different.)
Christmas is worse if your not a 12 year old who just got a new XBOX. A MONTH worth of hype and by noon on christmas day your already getting cabin fever. One christmas I went and saw the second national treasure movie. Another Christmas I saw the latest Ben Stiller, meet the parents movie (only highlight was Jessica Alba of that flick) I was that bored. People I know go nuts for the holidays and I love them too, but they dont live up to the hype.

I'm the same way.
I love my family and all but after a couple hours I'm kinda sick of them.
I was hoping the Redskins playing would give me a good distraction but w/ the way they're playing.....
