Its pretty obvious from Shan's comments that he is loving the thought that they play it this way, he wants them to think we are worried about this formation.

RIP Bubba, you are missed (gone three years March 16th)
i feel like we changed our runs a little this week for the eagles wide 9. i dont think it was very effective. in the second half we seemed to swith back to our more standard type of running (stretch plays?) and i think it worked better.

It was really frustrating to watch the run calls in this game. They obviously made a point to run the outside toss... which they ran... a lot. A-Mo ended up braking a couple for big gainers in the second half but I was really surprised with the lack of adjustment there.
This is not hindsight, but as soon as I saw them pitch to A' Mo on 3rd and 1 I screamed "Are you kidding me?!"
I suspect it was more an artifact of the game situation. I've seen it often happen that when a team is being dominated the way the Eagles were (especially when you've been hit with a couple of long passes), they can no longer stop the run towards the end of the game. I suspect it may be that the defense knows it has to force the big play and either you succeed or you get gashed.

That is in line with a run philosophy of a veer like running game; Your running game may not be working much but it will.
A bad plan well executed may work. A good plan badly executed will always fail.

Can't disagree. Don't know why he loves that play call so much. It takes away the advantage and gives the D a chance to catch up to the ball. Maybe if it were Helu or a real speedster, but Morris is more of a power back with some quicks than a speedy back anyway. Sure, once in a blow moon you might catch someone napping an break a really long one, but the better bet is just dive up the middle.
I think that 4th and inches was a QB keeper. When Eagles have everyone up in run support I don't like a between the tackles run because the OL really isn't built for power football. I'd rather have a play action short pass. The QB keeper (if that's what it was) annoyed me a lot because RGIII isn't a bulky QB and the line hadn't been getting a strong push, i.e., the odds of success seemed low. The most annoying play calling though were the wide screens - - pass right in front of the wide 9 player - - result tackle for loss almost every time.
Griffin made those jokers look foolish. That one run in which he casually spun out of bounds, leaving the defender flying was amazing. Whether its Morris or Griffin, our run game is tough to stop. HTTR! BEAT DALLAS!
I thought a lot of the runs, even the ones which didn't work were designed to set up the play action passes. The touch down off the faked reverse was a beautiful play, and it works because the D is looking for the finess/speed run plays to the sidelines.
I believe my job as a parent is to give my kids all the blocks they need to build a life in which they can attempt to reach everything they strive for and see anything they can imagine. In a world where everybody finds it easier to destroy than build, I wish for my kids to experience the joy of seeing something for the first time and the love of creating something new.

I can't wait to see a season of a healthy Roy Helu and Alfred Morris together. They are going to compliment each others skill set so well. It is going to be a nightmare for defenses to have to stop our run game and stop RG3 from throwing 60 yard bombs and stop the play action passes, and stop RG3 from scrambling 15 yards downfield if the wr's are covered tight.
"Talk is cheap. You've got to do it on the football field,”
That was another play call that blew my mind. Why in the hell do you run a short yardage play to the WEAK side of our line? Again, this is not a hindsight. I screamed as soon as I saw A'Mo running to the right.
BTW. I have patented the nickname A'Mo on this day of November 19TH 2012 at 1:12 PM.
