Before today I was drifting along aimlessly... That was a much needed performance for the team and the fans. The way the Skins won it was just sweet too. RG3 has professionalism, leadership, the winning attitude. All the while being a rookie at age 22. The kid had a day and noone deserved it more. Once we build around him , very fun to think what the future of this team holds. I only saw the big plays on Redzone so I missed alot of the game (so annoying), but I cannot wait to catch the replay this week on NFL nework. Great win

    Hail.
Here's a thought. We may not have made the trade up if we lost 3 games instead of 5 because of the cost to trade up to the no. 2 spot. We won just enough games to make the trading of 2 1st a 2nd and swapping of 2012 1st rounder worth it. 10 games in And it looks like we got a steal.

He looked like vintage Steve Smith on that play.

This guy is unbelievable. If he stays healthy, Canton is in his future.

@Hailtotheredskins, RGIII had another flawless game today. Sure they started off kind of slowly but once they got into their rhythm, it was hard to stop them.

BTW, his QB rating is now back up over 100 (101.0).

In his presser he said he didn't know a flag had been thrown. He threw it up and trusted his receiver to make a play. It might not have been the best decision in the world since Moss was obviously double covered but sometimes you do just have to trust your guys to do their thing. He did that time and was rewarded for it.

Also, I honestly don't see how Luck could be ahead of RG3 for OROY. Robert beats him in every category except passing yards. TD passes (same), INTs, comp %, YPA, QB rating, rushing yards, rushing TDs. This isn't to downplay Luck; he has looked great at times and I think he is going to be a fantastic QB for a long time. But RG3 has been better. The biggest obstacle would be the whole losing record thing.

If you had written that before yesterday I would have said that it was a terrible idea to force throws downfield because we don't have the receivers who can win those jump balls. Who knew that five-eight, 85 year-old Santana Moss still could do that?!

Robert's performance was sensational. I hope we can get the kid a better supporting cast soon. He's so much fun to watch.

I'm surprised I haven't seen this by Oldfan yet, but that deep ball to Robinson that RG3 threw was so beautiful in part because he threw it flat footed. He didn't step into it or anything, just wound up and let it go. 49 yards!

I'm thrilled to death with what rg3 has accomplished this year as a rookie but the pass yesterday I was most impressed with was the td to Paulsen. He stepped into it and fired it with authority, I'm really looking forward to seeing more of that.

Too often he throws off his back foot and puts too much air under his throws but he is still a rookie and these things will come with time.

Hell, even on the Moss TD pass he had to scoot left first and was a bit off balance and didn't get completely set before he threw it. And that thing went 65 yards in the air. Freakin' cannon that guy has.

He was awesome yesterday. We lose this game 17-13 or something without Griffin. He's that much of a difference maker.

However I think the stats do over-inflate his performance a little. He is still trying a little too hard to be a hero when there's nothing there. His completion percentage should have been lower because a couple times he should have thrown the ball away. The most glaring example was the completion to Garcon at the end of the half, that cost us valuable seconds and lost us yards. That's a play that after three or four seconds you toss it out of the back of the end zone and get ready to take another shot. He also took quite a few hits he shouldn't have taken, such as the one that the Eagles were flagged on. It was nice to get the flag, but what small comfort that would be if it knocked Griff out for a few weeks.

To be sure, these are minor gripes, but when words like 'perfect' are being thrown around I think they need to be pointed out.

    Hail.
We paid the exact same price for Griffin that Cleveland, who lost more games than us and picked ahead of us, was offering. Those few wins people were bemoaning last year didn't matter at all in getting Griffin.

So I'm glad we won them.

I swear, I don't even think his arm moved. It was so fast, it was like all he did was flick his wrist, and a second later the ball was in Robinson's hands.

I guess I'm remembering our QB's the past couple of years, like JC for example, and remember how I wished someone would light a fire under their ass to MAKE something happen or show ANY kind of emotion. That just makes me love and appreciate all the effort RG3 puts into making something out of nothing even more!
