Seriously, try something new vs. Dallas we CANNOT think that Madieu Sucks Williams got any better since the bye week. Sign a FA or do something.

listen, all the clueless ones on this matter...while there were/are good arguments on BOTH sides (make sure "ya'all" get THAT), we got blasted by the UNEXPECTED cap penalty that greatly inhibited plans for addressing that unit, and YES, both the meriweather and jackson events (which were not where we wanted to go before the cap blast, but still would have obviously been way better than where we are w/o them) ended up badly, it was as much bad luck as "poor moves" you amazing dotards (meant generally).
You (any really one-sided mourner of the departed) don't look smart using hindsight inspired by fanboy manlove or sheer (and understandable) angst over how we do suck now....you look like unimaginative unoriginal unthinking igwads saying the same dumbass **** for the hundred-thousandth time, and appeal only to other igwads.![]()

Probably best to leave the departed out of this thread... just a hint after reading what Jumbo and others have said...
Jesus people. LARON LANDRY AND CARLOS ROGERS WERE MALCONTENTSWHO DIDN'T WANT TO BE HERE ANYMORE? let that **** go.
Eli Manning will be 31 years old when the 2012 season starts.Michael Vick will be 32 years old when the 2012 season starts.Tony Romo will be 32 years old when the 2012 season starts.ROBERT GRIFFIN III will be 22 years old when the 2012 season starts.
We had Kevin Barnes at safety for a little bit awhile ago. Those free agents are very impressive. We'll probably have to go with what we have. Williams and Gomes? =(
Even Burnstine, that rookie from Iowa, got hurt. At least throwing a guy out there that could grow into the position might be interesting.

Seriously still talking about No Hands Rogers and Steroids Landry? Come on, move on already.
MODS - JUMBO, or OP, can you put this in the OP and maybe make the thread a possible "FA's available at the safety position" thread?

I know OJ Atogwe is on the street. Is he a viable option. He already knows the defense.
damn can we catch a break?
Well Landry wasn't an adequate plan himself. If something isn't working, you don't continue doing it. I think we had a hell of a plan with Merriweather and Jackson, but an injury and a suspension thwarted that plan. We did have a plan, and it would have been better than anything that involved Landry. He may be somewhere looking at himself in the mirror and chuckling about our safety woes, but frankly I don't care. He was never going to be a part of the 2012 Redskins. And I was, and am, fine with that.
Dagger! He played well and made the defense look much better.

If only Snyder would have ponied up some money for Mark Carrier...I knew we shouldn't have let him walk after 2000. He'd only 40-something right now.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."
