Over/under on Goodell giving RG3 a fine from trying to hurt Cromatie's forearm with his helmet on that play?
ummm, just a humble suggestion. but i think it would be wise to change the title of the thread.. just a tad miss leading..
I did not notice that during the game, but from that replay it is pretty obvious what was going on. Cromartie was clearly launching himself for the kill shot there. Props to the guy for writing the article and the OP.
Luckily for us Griffin narrowly avoided getting his bell rung there, hopefully the NFL will take notice.
The press asked a Redskins executive about the salary cap penalty and the executive responded, "Ask John Mara." So the press asked Mara and he said, “What they did was in violation of the spirit of the salary cap. "
Oh I see now, even though there was no actual salary cap in 2010 according to the CBA, the "spirit" of the salary cap still existed. Thanks for clearing that up Mara.
Saw that and while I agree with you I highly doubt there will be a fine. It was dirty, there was intent, but no contact.
No harm no foul.

God-dell will probably rule no foul no harm, Cromartie was just trying to free up some cap space.

I saw that play and thought something very similar - along the lines of "wow, that would have been a crazy bad hit".
There were a few times that RG3 narrowly avoided a big hit; it was pretty obvious that the Eagles were going for the kill hit on RG3.
OLB Coach for the 3x State Champs: 2001, 2002, 2008 Atlantic Shores Seahawks2012 Final Record: 2-9
Difference on that one is McCoy at the last moment lowered his own head to turn himself into a battering ram. Madieu almost couldn't avoid his head.
No harm no foul = at first you don't succeed, try try again. Cromartie needs a suspension and a fine.
What always makes me sweat when watching RG III is that no matter what kind of hit he takes, he always gets up very slowly. He's been doing it since college.
Cromartie's launch was uncalled for. With all the serious injuries out there, why would any player want to cheap shot like that?
I want my team to win, but never because they cheap shot the other team. I want them to win because they had a better game plan and executed it.
Cromartie could've seriously injured RG3 if he would've connected helmet to helmet.
The next time someone on here wants that Cromartie clown added to our roster, just remember that play.
I hope he gets his just punishment.
That fool was clearly going for some kind of highlight KO dirty shot. I didn't notice that during the game, but I expect our guys to give him a little payback next time we play.... Only if that big guy running could've laid him out.

R.I.P royallypwned
I think a lot of the times he is trying to draw a flag. It scares me too sometimes but if we get the 15 yard penalty I guess it is worth it.
Also what DRC did was disgusting, this makes me hate the Eagles even more. You can't beat a rookie QB so you just want to take him out with a concussion?? The Eagles deserve the awful year they are having. I hope it continues for the next 20 years. lol

"Talk is cheap. You've got to do it on the football field,”
Looks pretty bad there...I wonder if him going so high might have been a last minute attempt to avoid contact, rather than initiate it, once he realized the play had been made? Just dishing out the benefit of the doubt.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."
