I would just like to point out that while Luck also has 5 rushing touchdowns, he also has 5 lost fumbles. Which makes his production ratio 17 touchdowns to 17 turnovers.

RG3 has 6 rushing touchdowns to 2 lost fumbles, which makes his production ratio 22 touchdowns to 6 turnovers.

    RIP royallypwned.

He put 4 TDs on the Cowboys

He needs to put 4 TDs on the Giants to complete the NFC East Hat Trick.

Rookie of the Year? please. Skip Bayless and Dan Graziano are ready to talk about him as MVP of the NFL.

Stephen A Smith is gonna eat those words. We have a serious shot at the playoffs. And if we keep winning, and manage to win the division at 9-7, he SHOULD win MVP.

Weather we go to the playoffs or not will be answered a week from Monday. Even if the Giants win against GB and I don't see it happening, we beat them in our house, honestly I believe we are going to be on such a high we don't lose another game, while the Giants will lose one more. And looking at it without my homer glasses, the dirty birds are the only team I am worried about loosing to. But again we are going to be on such a high if we beat the Giants I just don't see us loosing. In such a case, RGIII will be a HUGE part of such a scenario thus a legit contender for the MVP. The ROY forget it. He would have to be knocked out or turn into John Beck the last 5 games to lose it. Thats like saying Obama will submit a balance budget to congress...LOL.. aint happening .

Well, he's got Rookie of the week for the 4th time for week 11, according to the site, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Thanksgiving game makes #5...

Ditto. Smith has a point in that you can't give a guy MP for a non-playoff team, but if we do make it in despite having a putrid defense and the guy who would've been RG3'S #1 target on IR, he should get it. No question he's carrying this team more than any other guy except maybe Brees. If the Saints make the playoffs and we don't, I'll be ok with waiting until next year for him to win MVP.

Late tp this thread but Earl Campbell was close with a Rookie of the Year and offensive player of the Year in 1978 and MVP in 1979.

    No love for Peyton?

Peyton's doing his thing on a new time for a new team....

The Broncos were 8-8 last year and a playoff team on the back of miraculous Tebow

But Peyton Manning is proving that continuity means **** and he's completely transformed the offense of the Broncos to make them a powerhouse

Remember the Redskins were interested in Peyton... I wonder what the Redskins would look like (for this year only, not the future) with Peyton plus our picks.

We might be OK this season and next, maybe even the following. But then we'd be right back where we were before this. No real QB.

    Much rather have RG3.

Look at what Polumbus has done to an athletic QB, imagine what a statue like Peyton Manning would be dealing with....

I enjoy football for the team accomplishments vice individual ones like this and pro-bowl nominees. I could care less how many votes RG3 gets for rookie of the year, since that is just vote.

What I agree with is that Madden gives him props for being best player in NFL at the end of NO game, and JJ says he is LEAGUE MVP during halftime (I agree with both).

He is the best NFL talent - all around package that I have ever seen in my life! Should he stay healthy he will be to the NFL what Jordon was to the NBA - not a doubt in my mind. He is special beyond all belief!

    Updated OP.

RGIII won rookie of the week for week 11. I'm sure he'll be on the ballot for week 12!

MVP is a bit too far of a reach, I think the league MVP should come from a playoff team, and we've got a long rough road to even get close. If we somehow make the playoffs and get past the Wildcard round into the Divisional round, then I'd definitely say he deserves to be in the discussion, but we're 6 straight wins away from that, a rather tall order.

Unless somebody freaking explodes, he's got it locked down. 311 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT. And he didn't even have to run that much this week.

Morris' week was really good, and in a normal year he'd probably win it a lot of weeks with his 100+ yard, 1 TD weeks, but RGIII just gobbles the spotlight. Makes it all the more amazing how humble he is.

Sounds like he's pulling away too, Griffin has four weeks, and is about to have 5 unless there's a voter coup, while Luck will only have 3. One more good week and he'll just about have this in the bag.
