I meant that Cousins will win it. Not that he deserves it necessarily. Although the intangible of it being his first NFL start in a must win situation and passing for the most yards by a Redskin this season with 2 TDs is impressive enough to make an argument for him. Anyway, all i meant is Redskins tend to win this award REGARDLESS of if they deserve it that week or not. RG3 won it the week both Luck and Wilson had PHENOMENAL last play TDs for wins. Same with Morris. Redskins fans just vote in droves when we have a guy up for it.

Need to update Wilson's rushing stats - I don't know what they should be, but he had 3 TDs yesterday...

I found it very odd to hear RG3 today. Asked by Sonny if he will be healthy enough to go next week, RG3 flatly stated he was already healthy.

I cant help but think that missing beating up on the lowly lowly Browns only hurts his chances for ROY.

It most certainly does hurt his chances IMO (barring a run in the playoffs)

It absolutely hurts his chances, and it completely takes him out of any MVP consideration. Not that I thought he had a real chance of winning it, but if you're an MVP candidate as a quarterback, and your backup comes in, wins the game and has more passing yards (329) than you have all year in any one game (324), you can kiss the MVP goodbye for good.

    At least for this season.

not true. if RG3 comes back and leads us to the championship game or something crazy like that I still think he would be in the running

Kind of like that one time Matt Flynn threw for 480 yards and 6 td's against a playoff-bound detroit team and then Aaron Rodgers didn't get MVP... oh wait.

You can hardly compare the season RG3 is having with what Rodgers had last year. The perception is also that RG3 missed a game because of his reckless style where as Rodgers missed the game last year because they already had home field locked up and he was resting. Rodgers already had that MVP locked prior to the last week of the season imo.

Honestly, it sucks but RG3 won't win ROY. They were already talking on ESPN today if Cousins win diminishes what RG3 has accomplished. The media will run with it and the Luck hype is too great even though both teams will probably finish with the same record. I don't see Griffin finishing any better than 2 and he may come in 3rd behind Wilson too. I feel like a lot of people have an agenda and an axe to grind with RG3 for some reason. He will now be perceived as a system QB instead of Luck who is the system. I don't know if these same people would consider Brady a system QB even though Cassell took them to 10 wins and looked good doing it. That was attributed to Belichick and his coaching greatness. Our backup's success will be used against RG3.

Plus he really could have used the sorry Browns team to improve his stats.

Luck should have sat out this week, maybe his chances would be better. This is a two horse race between Wilson and RG3, Luck has beaten one good team all season and has like 30 turnovers. He's going to get bounced from the playoffs in the first round.

damn man that post makes me sad. to think that people will argue RG3 is only a product of the system is infuriating to think about

Haha Colts fans can't even use the wins excuse anymore. The Redskins are 8-6 the Colts are 9-5. We might actually win our division unlike the Colts

Didn't realize how good of a year Doug Martin is having, he could finish with 1400 yds and 10+ TDs.

Almo is set to be the best Rook RB and could break CP's single season record.
