Stat box has been updated in the OP.
IMO Russell Wilson has emerged from the pack. It's now a two horse race between RGIII and Wilson.
Luck's turnovers, low completion % and putrid QB rating shouldn't warrant a nod.

No one is looking at Lucks turnovers or completion %. They are only factoring in the teams turnaround and his record setting passing yards. He will win it IMO.
Um, they have an incredibly weak schedule, future HOFer Reggie Wayne, and a better defense than ours. Furthermore, what's his excuse for tied for league high INTs, and the 33rd best completion % among qualified players? People say Luck is asked to do more in terms of throwing, which *might* excuse the INTs (if many of them weren't such poor throws), but completion % is almost completely on him.
It's a two-way race between Wilson and RGIII. The problem for RGIII is that Wilson just went berserk against a usually highly rated 49ers defense, which I have to think weighs pretty heavily. It'll be close, and probably depend on which two of them has the better week next week.
Agreed. I'm just looking through the eyes of the people actually voting for the award though.
They've just been as good as each other but the 'experts' who proclaimed Luck to be "Greatest rookie quarterback ever" will look over Griffin's superior stats and point to Luck's rookie record setting passing yards, league leading 4th quarter comebacks and the fact that he's been asked to do more than Wilson & RG3.
RG3 gets the final argument and lasting image in the voters mind in a game that will be nationally televised. He wins, he'll have taken his team that was 5-11 to the playoffs in his rookie season, without elite receivers, the best run game in the league(remember he's apart of that), an abysmal defense, and without numerous injured players against a tough schedule. RG3 wins, its his award.

The colts "sucked for luck" last year. They were a 10 win team the year before. They had more talent than they let on.
I have no problems with Luck at all. Or Wilson. I think that RGIII is the rookie of the year for performance on the field, in terms of wins, and the fact that he leads most of the major statistical categories, except for total yardage.
Take nothing away form Wilson or Luck. They are both going to be fine. But Robert has had the best year.
The other thing that does help Robert is that he has been the best coached of the bunch. The Shanahans have not asked him to put it up 40 times a game. They have put a structure around him to allow him to succeed, and not have to force the ball. The Colts didn't do that with Luck.
There appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope it's not a train.
i would be fine if Wilson won it, but jeez, if Luck gets it i will be livid. the dude has been mediocre by every available measure while rg3 and wilson have blown the lid off of rookie expectations. it just goes to show how pre-determined so many pundits' votes are.
Soooo.... I'm Torn (in a good way!)
In the beginning of the year it was Luck and RG3. Both started out Hot and both were doing very good leading their teams. But Luck was getting the Nod.
Fast forward to now, Wilson is tearing it up and getting all of the hype. But RG3 is still here. Now, Wilson is getting the Nod.
IMO, consistency matters.
And lastly, like Perry Mason said, RG3 gets the last push with a nationally televised game.
One last question, who decides the ROY? Media? Coaches?
Thanks SOUP for the sig!!
Hopefully the voters realize that they were a good team 2 years back. They weren't as bad as their record showed for last year. But 4 straight games of under 50% completions is awful. I hope the voters actually look at WHY the colts had to come back in all those games. Most passing yards does not warrant OROY honors when everything else was mediocre.
The real "America's Team"

Rating them this week I would have to rate the top 5:
1a: Russel Wilson: His performance last night IMO gives him an ever so slight edge on RGIII. It still comes down to next week though.
1b: RGIII: For obvious reasons.
3: Alfred Morris: Beats out Luck and Martin because Morris has been consistent. 11 games over 4 ypc, 6 100+ yard games, on pace for just over 1500 yards, he's playing like a top 5 NFL back.
4: Andrew Luck: Barely beats out Martin, and wouldn't if Martin was a little more consistent. 4 sub-.500 completion % games is not good. The fact that they're 3-1 in that stretch tells you about the level of teams they're playing.
5. Doug Martin: If he was just a little more consistent, he'd probably be #3 on this list, but he'll have a 100+ yard day one week, then barely crack 50 the next. In addition, he's still getting a boost from the Oakland game that he might not completely deserve.
