I know right? Good thing we didn't challenge the spot because right after that RGIII hits Paul for a TD.

In addition I feel when these discussions between Luck and RGIII are held no one is talking about RGIII's running yards. He has a chance to finish with over 900 yards running. Then he has such few turnovers compared to Luck. IMO he has ROY locked up unless something drastic happens in the last 5 games..

I also maintain if the Redskins win out he is a major candidate for MVP. Why? Because we make the playoffs most likely and in order for us to win out he will probably need to play at the level he has these past two weeks which would be crazy.

Tannehill and the Oompa Lumpa QB are putting on a snooze fest in Miami.

Meanwhile, Weeden and Luck have thrown 1 INT each.

Wonder where he'll rank on the player's top 100 on NFL network next year.

luck had 1 td, 1 int, and barely 50% completion percentage yesterday. (announcers were cooing all over him the entire game, though)

Well, RGIII should win another week, unless they give it to Morris somehow. Luck was 54% for 240, and 1-1, which was good enough to win but it's very mediocre overall. Martin had 50 yards and 2 TDs, good, but his average per carry was like 2.5, not really spectacular. Wilson was good, 2 TDs, but nothing like RGIII's performance.

Kaepernick's not a rookie, but he's playing very well too. They have a legitimate QB controversy there.

What do you need to get a rookie avatar on here? 1000? If so, I'm getting that before next Monday so I can rock RG3!

I think it is not too early to say the evolution of the present day quarterback equates itself with the playmaking abilities and skills of players like RGIII and Colin Kaepernick. Not only can these two men throw the incredibly deep and accurate ball but they also have the ability to kill you with their legs.

Make no mistake about it. Harbaugh drafted and has been grooming Kaepernick from Day 1. As good and mistake free Smith is/was, Harbaugh knew he had to roll the dice and go with the more talented QB. He figures he has a higher chance of winning more games with Kaepernick than with Smith.

RGIII can throw the deep ball, the intermediate ball, the short ball, etc. He reads defenses extremely well for a rookie and seems to know when to tuck in, run and slide, like he should.

I see RGIII and Kaepernick extending the trend to go with the accurate, intelligent but highly athletic quarterback. That seems to be the wave of the future.

Griffin should run away with Rookie of the Week, but I'm surprised Janoris Jenkins wasn't on the list. Two pick sixes in one game?

RG3 is a perfect storm. There is no other player I can think of that has the tools, talent, and brains he has all wrapped up into one; imagine a Peyton Manning who can run a 4.3 flat.
I can't imagine the NFL QB position adapting to that, RG3 is a once in a generation kind of player. Mobile QBs are making a surge in the NFL and might be the future, but QBs like RG3 will never become common place, because they are so rare.

Another rookie of the week win for Griffin coming up, nobody was even close this week, which will make #5 for him and 6 for the Redskins overall, which would mean half of the rookie of the week honors will be for the Redskins.

I watched the game in Munich (Kennedy's Irish Pub, to be exact). There seemed to be a few American Skins fans there, but I met and hung out with a German who was wearing an RGIII jersey. He said that his mom picked up the Skins while living in DC before he was born. He was 47 so we commiserated on the bad years and he was so ecstatic about RGIII. He also played semi-pro Ami-football in Germany with the Munich Lions.

Mike Greenberg and Mark (Stink) Schlereth said this morning that Andrew Luck is more deserving of the ROY award because the Colts are 7-4 and the Redskins are 5-6. Both also claim that RGIII has better talent around him and Luck has had to do more with less.

Mike Golic said RGIII should win.
