Default Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)... Help!

-*-*- Diagnosed by primary care doctor on 11/5, Neurologist appt. is scheduled for Dec. 3rd -*-*-

Anyone have any tips for lessening the pain of this evil condition?

I've tried the R.I.C.E. and steroids that the doctor ordered, along with the wrist brace that was prescribed, no relief.

Fingers have been numb for 20 days so far, and the pain in my wrist is unbearable at times

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Acupuncture maybe? That seems to work on my father and stepmothers backs.

I've heard chiropractors and regular massage can do wonders . Have you isolated the cause of it?

I had this, though not as severe as what you are describing. It went away awhile after I started taking Aikido lessons. During our warmups we would do a series of wrist stretches, they felt good so I did them on my own a couple of times a day. Sometime later I realized that my CTS symptoms had faded away... Can't promise it would work for you, but it would probably help some.

Surgical release. In the meantime, I would seriously consider booking some physical therapy appointments.

I'm not a doctor and I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn last night, so take my advice with a grain of salt...
