Best action movie of all time?

I am going to say it T2 was an okay film at the time but I actually do not like it - The first Terminator was a fantastic film and had the impending doom angle to it . Then T2 became an anti corporation left wing subversive "hey everything is going to be okay if you kill enough people and blow enough **** up film" and the kid was annoying ...and it broke the concept of the original idea of the film .

Bringing stuff like this into movies ruins them. T2 is action-packed form the first five minutes and has ridiculously good visuals and special effects that still hold up today. And there is actual depth to the characters unlike most blockbusters. I will say though, Furlong is annoying in the film.

These stand out because of the great action I got after suffering through each one with whoever it was at the time.

How could you forget the unremarkable Bridges of Madison County?

How Lethal Weapon did not make it to the top of these lists is surprising.

The Matrix (The entire series, I know some people didn't like the sequels, but I thought the series got progressively more entertaining)

Sin City (if you consider that action)
mortal kombat (I know, awful film, but I loved it as a kid, still one of the better video game movies ever made)
The Dark Knight Rises (actually liked it more than the former)

I tried to not include movies you could strictly classify as "sci-fi"

Hard to say "best action movie" because of all of the subgenres, but...

1. Aliens
2. Terminator 2
3. Die Hard
4. Predator
5. Ronin

Most underrated (and best action horror) is Blade. Best action-comedy for me is Beverly Hills Cop. Best spy film is Goldeneye or Skyfall. Best martial arts is Jackie Chan's Drunken Master. Best disaster action flick is Independence Day. Best superhero action film is very difficult but probably Iron-Man or Tim Burton's Batman.

You're all crazy. The best action movie just came out last year. This is non-stop action and some of the fights are the best ever.

Gotta say though, never seen Ronin. Should that be the next movie I watch no matter what? Is it that good?

Predator was so ****ing cool when it first came out. T2 and Die Hard were also classics, but Predator was my favorite. I'll also give Predator vs. Alien an honorable mention.
