Loved when he bulldozed Claiborne. It reminded me of Laron getting trucked by Jacobs a few years back...

well Morris has had nearly 200 yards in the last 2 weeks...which is significant considering the Redskins have been scoring often and FAST with deep balls. It is also important to note that this has come after a bye week so he has been rested. NOW..here we go again because Alfred has 11 days to rest his body and get ready for the Giants. There should not be any worry about hitting a wall at this point.

That was a nice run... I remember watching as Alf trucked over him... then I noticed a Cowboys helmet roll past the pile... and I smiled.

Vinny Cerrato believes he gave Jim Zorn a roster that can make the playoffs. A playoff kicker doesn't miss that kick. A playoff safety doesn't bite multiple times by a double move in the same game.

This is the reason I'm looking forward to getting Helu back next season. He is a true change of pace back with very good speed that the D will have to respect, even when Morris comes out.

The bye week came at the most opportune time in the season this year. It was right after a lackluster performance at Carolina when we were extremely injured and right before three straight divisional matchups that would be imperative to win if we are to stay in the playoff race. It not only gave the players a chance to rest and heal up, but it gave the coaches a chance to review not only the Eagles game, but put in a couple of days preparation for the Cowboys game. That was huge considering we only had 4 days in between the Eagles and Cowboys. Also we are in evaluation mode :-)

I'd like to see us complement him with a 2nd back next season, perhaps Helu or someone similar. A rested Alfred Morris in the fourth quarter against defenses tired of chasing RG3 all game....

    ...)
Not sure if you heard it, but I heard on post game 980 it was said that Kyle recently let Morris decide when he wants to come out of games. And they said indeed he stayed in the game on many 3rd downs.

I was elated to hear that. I thought he was getting gassed when he was out of the game. I was wrong. I think Kyle realized Royster in the game was killing our offense. Nothing against him, but when we dont even run him, how is play action supposed to work? PA is key to all we want to do.

Hulu next year should be an improvement. But I am surprised Mike didnt have another HB added when Hulu went to IR.

On a side note. on the Aldrick bomb TD, Morris got a key block after our LG or C got blown up.

On a positive note this dudes vison is soo good, I seen some cuts he made in the dallass game and WOW. I wouldn't mind if they threw in a couple more gut plays. But this guy is special.

Helu should be a way better 3rd down back than royster

If they get rid of the Zone Blocking Scheme this offseason, Morris, RG III and this entire running attack would be severely hindered

Agreed. But that's only if Morris lets him come in on third

Helu is much more dangerous than Royster as a receiver though. After all, he does have the Redskins single game receptions record

I hate for Morris to ever come out! Gets stronger as the game wears on. The talk of eliminating all blocks below the waist kills the ZBS scheme and would hurt him. He really excels at planting one foot and making a cut.

Young needs to get more runs and look forward to Helu coming back next year. I'm not noticing much of a drop off, but he is third in the league in attempts right now. It helps getting spelled by Griffin every once in a while ; )

I wonder how Helu well will recover from his injury. The only bright spot is that it happened so early in the season. He's got time to recover, rehab, and workout once mini-camp starts.
