This thread is dedicated to the speedster that is Aldrick.
I called his impact before training camp and I'm glad that I've been proven correct.

Was this meant for the stadium?
He's been good filling in when Garçon was injured and he provides depth at the position. I hope we he doesn't become too expensive to keep around once he matures a bit more.
I confess that I hadn't been paying much attention to him.
But I remember when he came in, and the announcers were saying "watch out for this guy, cause if you let him get past you, he's gone". And I was thinking "Boy, it sure is nice to hear the announcers saying that about a Redskin."
And then, it seems like a play or two later, he does it?
Didn't hurt at all.![]()
We're all here because
we're not all there
He needs to immerse himself with tapes of Antonio Brown from Pittsburgh. He can be JUST as productive in due time. I'd also like to see him supplant Banks on ST.
Aikmen gave a great BIO about him as the TD happened. Aikmen called it, and Griffin threw it.
The concussion he got from Merriweather clearly set him back a few weeks if not a month. And in part because of that, I want to keep using him as a primary deep threat, not using him on the short slant diving into the FS or Mike.
I want to see a deep option for RG3 on many more play action fakes.
I would like to see him get a touch per game as a returner, if he wants to do it. Banks isn't doing anything but also has no one pushing him. Banks barely even gets after kickoffs bouncing live in the endzone.
I have compared Aldrick Robinson to Desean Jackson. From early on, I have been saying that this guy should be treated just like Jackson. His primary value to the team is to get safeties to drop deep so that the run game is better and the short passes have a chance. FINALLY, this is what the Skins are doing. Aldrick is just like Jackson. He is good for 35 catches a season...maybe 40 some years....but 6-8 could go for TD's. In the Redskins case, Aldrick may have less catches because they spread the ball around so much and they run more than the Eagles...but the big thing is even if he catches 25 passes a season he can be an impact player when he is on the field because he scares the defense so much.
Not paying attention to him at all...he's caught two punts.
I'm not sure what this means...
I think Aldrick Robinson is the guy who will take over in the slot when Santana retires. The guy has wheels and finds ways to get open. His hands aren't perfect, but he can work on that by getting more and more reps. I like him. He's a solid role player. Great football teams don't necessarily have a team full of stars. They have role players who take pride in what they do. Aldrick is a key piece to this team moving forward.
I also thought AR was going to have a suprise season, but he disappeared from the offense for several games and was wondering if we would just move on during the offseason as Amendola is a FA. That being said, I'd much prefer developing our drafted talent, such as Hankerson and Robinson. I believe they both have potential to be very nice pieces of the puzzle. Not stars, but a decent #2 receiver and slot receiver on the team. Slot receivers are extremely important in the new NFL passing offenses.
And to think, MANY poor, deluded souls wanted him cut to save Banks or Cooley's spot back at cut-down time
Hail.
I think we are going to see this connection for years to come. Dude is lightning fast. I also think the Meriweather incident set him back. I definitely see him as an integral part of our offense moving forward.
