Thanks. Found his twitter. Didn't read much there. In fact, he apparently has been going out watching football games with his family. Makes me hopeful. If he was really hurt I'm not sure he'd be out and about.

Chris Russell (@Russellmania980) tweeted at 7:53 PM on Sat, Nov 24, 2012:

Adding to what Keenan Robinson told JK, he's not only not sure if it's partial/ full or even torn, believes he might still be able to play.

Would Aaron Curry be worth a look? He was cut by the Raiders the other day.

I was going to say Laurent Robinson b/c he has been cut by the jaquars BUT looks like he has had 4 concussions in 4 months.

That means they would fit in perfectly down here in Florida. Plenty of "pain management centers"

Logically speaking, that would make sense. I think it's old school thinking the other way.

With proper rehab, torn muscles can most certainly come back stronger. I've seen power lifter utilize this (incredibly dangerous) technique to push their maxes multiple times.

what a sad fall for Curry who was a top 5 pick just a couple years ago... can it get much lower when even the Raiders don't want you?

I agree it's possible to improve muscular strength et al much stronger than pre injury. This is true in any case of repaired tissues.

I guess I kinda stated that the wrong way. It's certainly possible to come back stronger just as if a non-athletic person with say a 1x bodyweight squat tore their ACL and then worked up to a 3x bodyweight squat post surgery. Obviously, a dedicated athlete might have a 3x squat and be able to come back with enough good rehab and training to eventually do 3.5-4x squat.

However, the structural integrity of the tissue does not return to the same level prior to the injury because of scar tissue, chronic degeneration, etc. That's really what I meant to say.

Who were the last ILBs cut for the final roster? There was a journeyman who was really playing pretty well who got cut. I can't remember his name.

You may be thinking of Bryan Kehl. He's currently a member of the Chiefs.
