Essentially hoping all the planets align is not great position for the playoffs but, hey, at least I CAN hope with a guy like Griff at QB.
Not saying I'm the most optimistic guy out there, but if we win out, the Giants would also have to win out after next week in order to win the division. They play the Saints, Falcons, Ravens, and Eagles. Can't see them winning out.

That's all that really has to fall into place. I don't think we have much of a shot at a wildcard, so winning the division is how we get into the playoffs.

I wouldnt say "great" shape, but we definitely have a chance.

The defense has to keep playing way above their heads but crazier things have happened.

DHall has really stepped his game up the past few weeks, and *cough*Madieu Williams*cough* has too.

You never know. The Colts defense was terrible in 06 they were letting people run all over them but somehow had their 2 best games of the season in the playoffs, then got in a shootout with NE in the AFC.

It's huge just to get in for our progress as a franchise and once youre there, anything can happen.

so far things are working out, Bucs lost, Vikings are losing and Seahawks lost even if the Saints win, the worst the Redskins will be is one game out with 5 to play and with teh Redskins having beaten 3 of the 4 WC teams ahead of them, they are in this

The Giants are a joke right now. Aaron Rodgers & the Pack will pick them apart and there's nothing they can do about it. Clay Matthews absence won't hurt the Pack as much as Orakpo's absence hurt us. This is going to be really fun to watch. Monday night we're going to pick them apart as well, and the Saint's are going to have their chance to do the same in three weeks. John Mara's going to have to come up with something more creative this off season to stop us in the future.

With that said, this is the perfect scenario for us to take advantage of and put the NFC East in the bag. If we don't win the division, then we don't deserve to be in the playoffs. Our schedule is a cake walk. The Raven's will be our hardest match up, but even then their defense is sort of struggling, and Flacco simply isn't an elite QB. I feel like they will shoot themselves in the foot more then our secondary shooting us in the foot. Also, home field advantage is a plus!

    Oh yeah, **** the giants

Huge that SEA lost a game it should've won. They have to play @Chicago next week. That's a loss. Redskins now in excellent shape for the last WC, too.

Yup, once you're in, a good game here, eek out a win there, and boom, Super Bowl.

Oh geez, did I just say that? I probably shouldn't have said that...

we have a QB, we will be in any game and no one will want to play RG3 and the Redskins in the playoffs

With todays losses by teams fighting for the final wild card spot we still have a fair chance of even getting that final spot. Looking at the schedule of these teams, I expect non of them to finish with more than 9 wins and maybe even 8. I see Vikings only winning one game more this season. This is just based on who these guys are playing and I realize anything can happen in the NFL but these are the odds. We will be in great shape for either the division or the final wild card spot if we can just beat the midgets.

Also, SEA has an east coast trip to Buff--could easily see them losing that game--and a game vs. SF...not to mention their game vs. Chi next week at Soldier field. I honestly don't see them finishing better than 8-8.

I hate to keep saying it but just having a shot right now feels amazing. If we somehow get in, look out. Nobody will want to play RGIII in a one and done situation

I wouldn't say definitely after today's early game results and considering those teams remaining opponents. 9-7 could very easily be a wild card at this point.

I don't think we will win the NFC East when it's all over, but we do have a shot at it. It would be great if we could but I just don't see it.

The tough games we have ahead are Giants and Cowboys, we need to win those to have any semblance of a shot at the playoffs. We also have to beat the Eagles who might try to play spoiler and beat the Ravens and Browns, I don't see us beating Baltimore on the road. We are capable of winning out but I wouldn't get our hopes up, it's still a long shot.
