Thread: Redskins / Giants Prediction Thread : The Chase for the Division

Skins had them beat last time and let them off the hook, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Not this time, Skins hold on and win 41-28. The offense really starts getting things together, and the defense has another mediocre performance, if not stellar considering the first half of the year.

This will be RG3 first game in Prime Time MNF and he will not disappoint.

I'm glad so many are starting to dislike the Giants, now at least. It shocked me how so many Skins fans said they actually like NY and rooted for them in the playoffs. Using the logic "keep the SBs in our division. It makes it look good." If the Skins don't win it then I'm certainaley am not going to pull for the enemy to get it under any circumstance.

Even if I don't like the Giants, I would put them before the boyz and the jiggles.
Still, I have to admit, that, even if their owners is an ass, there DL has been completly classy regarding RG3 praising him and such. Which makes me thinks that some people around there are just smart people that happens not to play for us. So, well, even if I dislike the team as a whole, some people deserve some respect over there.

Anyway, I still rooted for the Pats... '85 syndrome I guess...

And stickin' to my prediction: Skins 27-13. I'm pretty sure DHall will get away with a pick.

Edit: Rooting for teams from our division in the SB onyl have one thing happenning: them having more SB than us. So, don't do it.

RG3 does not stand for Rex Grossman 3rd year as a Redskins starting QB.

I've been saying that the last 4 years since they won both of their Superbowls. There is no trophy for one of the teams in your division winning the SB. There are no accolades. Just a draft pick. Meanwhile, some of your most hated rivals get to display a Lombardi trophy and fill their sigs in here with SB propaganda that you have to look at for the next year. I've been watching the Superbowl since SB 12, when Denver played Dallass and not once have I EVER rooted for one of our NFC East rivals to win a championship. New England can win 10 in a row as long as none of our rivals win one. Blasphemy rooting for the Beagals, VaGiants or Pukes to win anything. **** them all.

I wanted to post some fun facts but didn't want to start a new thread.

Eli has thrown 90 more passes than RGIII yet he has one less TD 15
Eli has thrown 11 INTs compared to 4 For RGIII
And my favorite: Eli has run the ball 16 times for 20 yards no TDs compared to RGIII 99 for 642 yards and 6 TDs

win or lose this game as a Skins fan I feel very confident about our future compared to every other NFC east team.

I don't get the people who are picking the Giants. Don't understand the need to be realists here.

61-7 Skins, we keep them out of the end zone until the 4th quarter

If we get the running game going early. 27-17 Skins.
    If we don't 13-27 Giants.

RG3's arm gets the Redskins get out to an early lead and then unleash Alfred Morris. A-Mo goes for 125 and 2 TDs...the best game of his career so far.

The Redskins beat the Giants twice last year without RGIII. The Redskins could beat the Giants with or without him at any time. And the Giants could beat the Redskins any time. It is a division game and they are always tough. Giant/Redskin games are going to be a lot more fun now with RGIII at QB. There is a huge chess match with the Redskins' O vs. Giants' D. In a couple of years when Tuck, Osi, Canty, and Bernard are no longer with or past their primes, it won't be as fun for Giant fans. Until that time, I will enjoy it. This is going to be a lot of fun to watch.

I would respond to jp or whatever his name is but I'm sure he has been banned. And he isn't worth it.

The Giants were whooped and embarrassed this time last year on MNF. Let's hope history repeats itself.

Kyle and the Redskins will pull out 3+ trick plays that will end up being successful and throw Coughlin off balance, winning the game.

I think a whole bunch of overly optimistic Skins fans have taken away much too much from us playing 2 very bad division (ie: familiar) teams the last 2 weeks.. It'll be wonderful if we hang with or beat, the Giants, but I predict we crash back to earth in front of the national audience, unfortunately.. Prove me wrong Redskins!!

Why? Unless Jerry Reese retires, I don't see much reason to believe the Giants won't be able to find more pass rushers.

Man this is gonna be a good one. A win here and the curse is broken for all the right reason.

    Redskins 31
    Giants 28

Down 24-28 late, Griffin daggers them again, this time leaving no time on the clock. Redskins go on to make the playoffs... Robert Griffin III league MVP. What a huge game this is, it's about freaking time we had a meaningful late division game.
