I guess I just don't get it. Why does RG3 and the Redskins get so much hype? So the 5-6 team beat the lowely Cowboys. We are reigning Super Bowl champs, have a 7-4 record, a 2 time Super Bowl MVP and are coming off a big win over Green Bay and still do not get any respect.

I get that but he's only played 11 games and they talk about him like he is the second coming of ch**st. Don't get me wrong I think he is a good and exciting QB but they should wait until he has at least 2 yrs under his belt before they canonize him. Read his entire quote and you'll realize that A) He wasn't trash talking at all and B) His statement is so all over the place that nobody should take him seriously anyways, as he contradicts himself later by saying the Redskins SHOULD be in the conversation as a contender.

Good or not, the Giants have one of the trashiest teams in the league. These guys are ALWAYS running their damn mouths. Remember when they kept saying they were the better team last year after we beat 'em in the first game? They said they would beat us 9 out of 10 times.....then we beat 'em again.

With all due respect, the Giants respect Washington MORE than any other team I can think of. He's talking trash, but he's right. Even if we beat them on Monday, we still aren't contenders. Let's not be delusional guys, we are missing some key components from being a legitimate playoff contender. I mean, I we simply aren't at the same level as the Packers, Patriots, Ravens, Falcons, Steelers, 49ers, Texans, and even the Giants. Granted we beat the Pats, but that can happen to any team on any given Sunday. When I think of as consistent legitimate playoff contenders, I think of more than just the stud QB or RB. You need many many more components.
