Said it better than I could. He must desperately want our approval the way he constantly makes an effort to remind us of his teams Super Bowl runs, but I'm not going to give them anymore respect than they deserve. Apart from those two runs, they are nothing but an underachieving, mediocre team.

I completely agree.
Since that is all that matters, this year must totally suck for you.
Your giants have achieved two Super Bowls by rolling through playoffs hot while limping through a season as a barely above average team.
So while those trophies shine nice and bright, and were rightly earned , they're it.
(However, kudos and congratulations.. Lombardi's cannot be minimized.)

This season is much more indicative of what is to be the norm for the Giants.
The worst of the divison has caught you, passed you, and has won 3 out of 4 against you.
Right now, concern yourself with tee times, and keeping up with the Cowboys, because they're more in your league.
thankfully the Eagles have managed to slip as low as they have, so you'll still have a kickaround club to keep your esteem up..

Biut I hope you make the most of the opportunities you will be presented with. In the end not much else matters. Look at the eraly 2000's Eagles... thatcoiuld have been a dynasty. and one thing is absolutely certain,, the giants are not winning it this year.
So regardless of however you'd like to see it, resting on history is no different if it's a year ago or ten years ago.

And what i mean by those trophies being it,, that means enjoy them, because you may not be seeing another one for a while. Coughlin is getting older and may not want to do this much longer
now that there are teams in the division who are capable of being better than the 9-7 you guys annually put up, those late runs may be fewer and farther between.

Most likely quite right. I agree with the history part to an extent but don't fool yourself, winning an SB or two does wonders for the patience and comfort level of the fan base.

Na,...let me tell you, those Super bowl runs make up for so much its not even close. You had to be on those rides my friend..it was amazing. You guys may be on one right now..time will tell. Lke a said its a very content fan base right now.
