Yeah, like yours, this year. Let me know when the NFL starts giving out medals for being "In it" during the regular season and not making the playoffs, and whether or not I should throw confetti. And last time I checked, I thought only Super Bowl's mattered to you, and not being "In it." If "In it" (during the regular season, and getting hot, winning a Super bowl, and missing the playoffs every other year) is a sign of consistency in your eyes, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

You weren't in ****. You didn't make the playoffs ( this year, and after your team failed in the Divisional Playoff round in '08, you missed the playoffs two years in a row). You want me to care about your Super Bowls that you had to barely make the playoffs to win. I don't.

Giants were competitive at 9-7. Giants have been close or at least in it every year under the Coughlin era except the first year ... You REALLY think making the playoffs and losing in the first round is much different than not making the playoffs at all? its all the same in the end...nowhere. It sucks when you have a team go 4-12 to 8-8 10 years in a row. Now THAT is painful.

Again..i'd rather be inconsistent and win Super Bowls than go 12-4 every year and get dusted in the playoffs. Thats right.

Well then you'd better phone Goodell to give you guys a "Congratulations: You Were In It" Medal then

Okay then. After your team barely made the playoffs in '07, and made a miraculous run, you went nowhere for three seasons. Sounds good to me.

Well then we agree, your team was inconsistent as hell. It's okay. It happens. At least you all were "In it" and didn't go like 3-13 or something. You just sucked good enough not to get your coach fired and back your way in to the playoffs and win a Super Bowl every now and then.

I never said the Giants were consistent..i never cared to argue it really. Look we all know the score...the Giants found a way to do something that is damn tough to do..not once but TWICE. Oh and to anyone calling it a fluke, you don't fluke your way past Tom Brady and Belichick. Without us that team would have won 5 Super Bowls....remember that.

After winning the Super bowl, we went nowhere? As in what we didn't win more Super Bowls? At least those 3 years we played competitively...nope, no medals. Ihave news for ya. Unless you make the Super Bowl nobody gets a medal. Just ask the 4 NFC championship losing Eagles teams. They may as well have gone 8-8 and called it a day. Now, I am not one of those that says you have to win it all. If you make the Super Bowl and win the NFC thats a grand accomplishment worthy of an award. Short of that...its all the same. NOWHERE.

And that would be light years better than the Gnats winning #3 and 4

I'd be willing to bet 99 % of fans other than the Patriots rooted for the Giants the first time around and at least 75 % last year. Only the NFC east teams fan base were torn. Everyone else I think was glad.

That doesn't mean it was better for the Gnats to win though...

In 07 who did you root for? Not in retrospect, but at the time.

Not sure if someone shared this yet, but how about Adam Carriker on twitter:

@AdamCarriker94 Tony Romo, Michael Vick, and Eli Manning walk into a bar.... to watch the playoffs.
Sean you were one hell of a safety and an even greater role model for young men like myself. You played my position with the same reckless abandone I play it with. More importantly, you WEREN'T perfect and you MADE mistakes, a lot like me, and you were growing and maturing into a man, a lot like what I'm trying to do. And the fact that you're gone now only motivates me more, as a safety and as a young man, to carry on your legacy.

I don't root for NFCE teams to win Super Bowls

I rooted for NYG in 2007...I'll admit it. There were douchey Pats fans at school and I wanted them to get theirs on national tv. For a long time I didn't even have an issue with the giants except when we played them

The Patriots. Didnt think twice about it. I will never root for a NFC East rival to win another SB.

Understandable. I would root for you guys over San Fran or G.B. believe it or not. If it gets to the Supe..only if you played New England and that would not be a fun game to watch for me

Fair enough, to each his own. I work with a Giants fan who asked me for a Redskins hat as soon as they won in week 17; he said he always wants his division to win the Lombardi.

I just don't have it in me to root for another NFCE team
