I thought he spoke very complimentary of your team mostly. You guys are 10-1 right? ..oh wait your 5-6, yep usually 5-6 teams have a few pieces missing. That said this will be a very difficult game for the Giants to win. RG3 is going to give them fits...if they win it'll be a score in the 30's. i expect this game could produce 60 points.

Whereas what he says isn't oblivious to those who've been watching us, it isn't his call to make that assessment especially to the talking heads.

In regards to our secondary, I don't think it would have looked very different than it did if we didn't get robbed by Mara.

I think some people believe we'd have a Madden style all star team if it wasn't for that $18million.

We certainly would have gotten better than Madieu Williams, Cedric Griffin and Tanard Jackson. Even Shanahan said they had to alter plans due to the timing and size of the penalty. It was a knee-cap job, plain and simple.

First of all, we don't know what this team would have looked like. It's not just the $18 million. It's the $18 million on the eve of free agency. We had a plan, which suddenly had to change almost immediately and without warning.

If you don't think that affected how we approached the offseason I don't know what to tell you.

Secondly, every single time anyone remotely associated with the Giants opens his fat yap I'm going to bring this up. From now until probably forever. Because it's despicable and against everything the game is supposed to represent: Your best vs. their best. Apparently Mara isn't interested in that, and I find that deplorable and worthy of constant scorn and ridicule.

I don't care if they are contenders or ten-time winning superbowl champions from here on out. I don't care what 'conversation' they think they are supposedly in. The Giants deserve no respect. None. And I'm fine pointing that out whenever one of them has the nerve to speak in our direction. Even if it's to say 'nice weather we're having.'

I would agree with you Tom, if it wasn't Mara that knee-capped us on the eve of free agency. That is the crux of contention. If another owner had done it, it wouldn't have the same resounding effect. On it's face, it's not bad at all, and is fairly complimentary. However, behind it, there is a load of "No ****. Why don't you ask your owner why we are missing those pieces."

I think he realized he said something stupid/ill-timed moments after it left his mouth and he tried to make up for it.

Cruz didn't really say anything that is not true. The Skins are in the conversation and but we have not won anything yet. But the Skins are on the upswing. Teams and people can talk all they want but the Skins are starting to perform better on the field than they have in years past. BTW, what Mara did was out of complete desperation because he is scared about the Skins developing over the next couple of years and you know what he should be. Karma is a *****.

Every team has some missing pieces or weaknesses,even the mighty Giants.RG3 did a pretty good at exploiting some of those Giant weak points last time around.It is amazing that the Redskins in spite of their missing pieces have beaten the Giants 2 out of the last 3 games.The Redskins do have areas that are lacking but sometimes players can step up and play at an elevated level and certain players can cover other team members shortfalls with exceptional play.Sometimes it comes down to the ball bouncing your way,other times it comes down to which team is healthier at the end of the season.I am not saying the Redskins are going to the playoffs but they do have a chance to contend no matter what Cruz says.
