Heh..I picture your guys bringing the salaries in to get them approved. The approver is out to lunch so there is some intern standing there and

    Snyder: I need these approved!

Intern: but but sir I don't have authority to approve these. S

Snyder: Look do you like your job? If you do you'll appove these!

    Intern: Ok sir

    Snyder: Thats more like it!!!

hahha...sorry I am not trying to make light of this I just don't have an answer.
Jp gotta admit that caused me to chuckle. Was more than likely that intern just out of school that's still scared of the big bad world too. =)

    I'd like to pretend I don't care.

I'd like to say that it hasn't bothered me that no major sports media outlet has respected my team for my entire lifetime.

I'd lilke to say that I'm fine with being an underdog.

But goddamnit, it feels great to FINALLY get some respect.

And JP, you're on the Redskins board. Here it is a big deal, and for you to keep suggesting otherwise just makes you a troll at worse, or a passive-aggressive agitator at best. In fact, looking at how you jumped into this thread:

Followed by this missive once people made legitimate counterpoints to your baiting:

I must conclude that you are not here in good faith, and am therefore no longer interested in anything you have to say. Welcome to my ignore file JP. And by the way, enjoy the last couple years or so of relevance that your midgets have.
JP has actually brought up good conversation in other threads. Im sure he was reading through this and wanted to defend his team, with information that he had. He may not have known the whole story or the small details but he thought he knew enough to defend his team. You cant fault him for that. He definitely hasnt been trolling. And as I said before, this cap thing is probably not a big deal to any Giants fan, so he probably doesnt understand how passionately we feel about it as Skins fans. I dont fault him for anything hes said at all. I think your over-reacting a little bit.

No one is more knowledgeable about capgate than Redskins fans, and that's exactly the way Mara wanted it. Personally, I'm happy to discuss it with anyone who asks; I like spreading the word and throwing Mara under the bus.

Nope, he was fully "edumacated" on the details last go around. There is no excuse this time for the seemingly trollish posts

JP damn well knows the facts.

He has posted in my FAQ thread about why Mara cheated. At this point he is simply trolling

Is this the type of crap we're going to have to put with up once this team becomes a force? I hate political correctness. Go REDSKINS!!!!

Well ...thank you. I really don't know enough about this and although the poster was harsh, one thing he said was right. I am on a Redskins board and I may not be in the right place to be debating something that is very serious to you guys. I just wish it never happened, and I do wholeheartedly hope the 2nd year cap hit is lifted. Are you guys fighting it even yet?

I admit ..I AM frustrated that nobody wants to talk football ...maybe I was getting a little salty in prior posts and I realize its not cool as I am on your turf.

Look I started a thread saying both our teams can make the playoffs this year and it was DELETED... how is that a good way to get respectful posters from other teams involved in any dialogue?

Like I have said before I am not here to azz kiss you guys...its a great fan base and its fun to talk about stuff in a non-trolling , respectful manner. But I'll be damned if i am going to let someone walk on me.

Like the thread title says, the Giants and Skins have become the most relevant NFC East rivalry, and with capgate and everything, that's doubly true. It definitely translates to interactions between Skins and Giants fans. Things used to be pretty OK around here for their fans; we took a poll a while back asking what your most hated NFC East rival was, and I think the Giants came in last. Obviously, that has flipped since, although the Cowboys will probably always be #1 since the media makes sure they're always relevant, even when they suck.

I have no problem talking cordially with Giants fans as long as they recognize we got hosed and don't jump to Mara's defense. When it comes to play on the field I mean, sure, they fake injuries and stuff, but I wouldn't say they're one of the dirtier teams and their fans stir up less crap than Philly fans, who are just awful.

Honestly, I don't even like being defeatist about capgate. It happened, but I can't blame capgate for our injuries or Tanard Jackson's stupidity. We would have been a 10-6 team without all of that, so did capgate prevent us from being contenders? Hardly. And it won't next year either. And when that's behind us, RG3 will still be there. It's hard to get too up in arms about it, but I hate when it's shoved in my face, like we deserved it or something.

Gotta keep in mind that the cap issue for us is somewhat like talking about Politics and Religion in a business environment. Just not a good idea. I know that you have had good football posts here on the boards in the past. But this is still a festering wound to us here in 'Skins land.

I've said this before but I'll say again here.

I'd LOVE to be talking football right now. The fact that we aren't is not the fault of the Redskins or Redskins fans.

If Giant fans are annoyed at what's being focussed on here, aim your annoyance in the right direction, which would be north of here.

The Giants cheated to specifically hurt us, and now we hate them. Settle in and get used to it, because this isn't something that's just going to go away. This is now the new reality of the nature of the rivalry between the Giants and the Redskins, and the Giants have no one to blame but themselves.
