Oh, ok. A lot of people don't know that about Hamilton though.

As for the story: while I'm not a fan of tats, this is a really stupid article. Must have been a slow news day.

I knew Kaepernick had tattoos before I read the article, but it didn't stick out to me.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever used the word "bigoted" to describe someone's opinion on tattoos before, but this guy is so over the top with such a lack of actual reasoning that I think it fits pretty well.

BUT, having visible tats does (like it or not) place you in a certain stereotype and if you are fine with people making those quick assumptions about you, more power to you.

Regardless, I think this article is a bit stupid, there are already QB's with tats...

Personally, I think tats are trashy-looking, but then again, sometimes I wonder if I've been time-warped from the 1950's with some of my views
I thought about getting one, then it faded. I, along with only a few hundred people in about 30 years will probably be the only one's without a tatoo.

I don't know why someone would nowadays. Seems like everybody has at least one tatoo. My sister has 4 grown kids (3 girls and 1 boy) and when each of them turned 18 they went and got tatoos.

    Pretty ridiculous article.

I do get that in certain professions, you will get judged if you have visible tattoos. As long as it's recognized as unfairly judging somebody, I can accept it.

Thing is with tattoos, it's pretty dumb to think about what they would look like at 80. Because honestly, who the heck cares? lol You're 80 years old. Like you have to take crap from anyone. I am a tattoo supporter and as long as it's meaningful to those who get them, others shouldn't worry about it.

Exactly. Plus, a lot of people get hideous-looking tats to begin with. You would think they wouldn't skimp (go cheap) on something that's gonna be noticeable. I will never understand the tat faze.

I think it's a valid point that I don't think a lot of people consider. It's not just when we're old and wrinkly, but when we're older and different than we were when we were 19 or 20.

But that's just it, a lot of people get them just because it's the popular thing to do nowadays. In the past it did seem like more people got them for some meaningful purpose. And I don't care what anyone says, all these girls/women that are getting the ones on their wrists...it looks trashy.

I've said it before, if you want to make a killing, invest heavily in tattoo removal technology. It's going to be huge in the next 15 to 20 years.

I know some folks going through it now. Thought it was cool/sexy when they were 18 or 19. Regret what they have / where they have it at 35. The removal process sounds pretty painful

Tattoo conversations always amuse me here.
