    The future King and Queen of the Commonwealth (sooner, rather than later, fingers crossed) announced today that the Duchess is expecting their first child, who'll be third in line to the throne. (Thank the Lord that archaic, ridiculous law is changing so a girl, if the baby is female, gets the same accession rights as a baby boy would.).

    Kate, 12 weeks in, is currently in hospital suffering from severe morning sickness, but this is wonderful news. I'm truly happy for the Royal couple, and in particular the Duchess who is fast finding a place in the hearts of the British people not filled since her husband's mothers tragic passing.

    I'm sure the Princess of Wales is looking down beaming with pride at the fine man and father I'm sure her first born will make.

    Congratulations to the pair of them.
