To me, the bigger surprise is the polls. Repubs were told to shoot the messenger. The polls were all lying, they were oversampling liberals, and they had no basis in reality because Romney had all the momentum. When the polls proved exactly right and the right wing media proved completely wrong... I mean right in terms of Obama having leads in all the Swing states, what the national lead was, that it would not be electorally close and gave the margin... the right never even paused to consider why their sources reflected a reality so far from what happened at the ballot box. They just continued railing that it was all the other media sources that were frauds and brainwashing folks with false data.

It's incredible when you can be lied to, have the lie proven in an absolute fashion, and continue to believe the lie.

Absolutely. Really spot on. I actually have a relative, fairly big conservative, major Fox News guy. The day after the election me and him were talking on facebook and we talked about this very thing. If they lied to you about the polls, shouldn't you maybe start wondering what else they're lying to you about? And he agreed. He's also, in the last couple of years, come out in support of gay marriage. He's a good guy. I have faith still.

Yet it wasn't a weakness on my part, but on yours because you ignored the whole thing in order to try and distract attention from the point. You choose to play games rather than change, even when I believe you actually do know better. Such is a great weakness indeed.
