After we beat the Giants, several Panther fans called in on local sports talk and said that they noticed when Griffin gets a 1st down, he tosses the ball back to the refs and gets ready for the next play while Cam does his ballerina first down. And when Griffin scores a TD, he goes to one knee to thank god, while Cam does his Superman schtick. Alot of PANTHER fans stated they noticed Griffin's maturity level was 10 times Cams and that they wish Cam could learn something from Griffin on how to act on the field.

I wanted to point out also, Griffin fumbled in Tampa and Garcon recovered. Griffin went to Garcon to congratulate him. When Cam fumbled ( I think against the Cowboys) and it was recovered by Louis Murphy, Cam went to the sidelines and never thanked his WR for making the recovery. But one caller said that when Griffin fumbled and Morgan ran it in, Griffin went to the sidelines. Did anyone notice this? I wasn't paying attention.

Lol I'm not betting money with strangers on the internet about my perceptions of a player's future. If you still remember this conversation when the 2015 season is over and Cam Newton is still the starter and not on his way out, then feel free to bump this thread or message me and tell me how right you were. If I remember this conversation I'll do the same. But I still stand by what I said. I don't think he'll be starting then. It would take a MAJOR mental transformation for him to remain a competent starter in the NFL. His maturity issues and inability to be the leader of a team are painfully obvious at this point.

you dont think Cam is a competent starter right now in the NFL?

And we can definitely arrange a holding account online to make sure the money does not go anywhere.

Again, I would love to put money on this but it seems you are afraid to back up statement.

He said remain. That means he thinks he is now, but will not be in 2015. Hence he needs to remain a competent starter.

Nothing against you ASF, but making a bet with a complete stranger (save for interactions on ES) for something that couldn't be collected on for three years is completely and utterly moronic. Hell, I wouldn't make that bet with someone I saw every day. In three years we both would have forgotten it.

    why couldnt it be collected?

I am trying to gauge how serious he is with that statement. Anyone can say anything without thinking it through. I dont know if he did, but if he did, I dont see the issue of putting a wager on the table.

Real easy to see here. Look at the D line when other QB's are playing and then look at the D line when Cam is in (3:43). And it definitely looks like Derrick Johnson is trying to run him over when returning the INT/fumble. Cam just jumps out of the way.
Was it Cam that fired them up or was it the 4th and 15?

It couldn't be collected for three years because that is the duration of the bet. He said that he doesn't think Cam will last another three years (or something like that). The only way it could be collected earlier is if Cam loses his starting job earlier than that.

I once made a bet with a poster in the tailgate that was for 2 years in the futures...I won, he paid.... (It was for Redskins tickets). See thread below. It can be done.

That's all well and good. You going to remember that someone owes you money (assuming it's not a substantial amount) three years down the road?

I don't think he'll remain a competent starter in the NFL after three more years, that's my opinion and I don't feel the need to "back up" a statement with a bet. Are you sure you're just a Redskins fan and not a part-time Panthers fan? Because you sound a little overly butthurt at the criticisms of Cam.

Thank you Hitman, that's exactly what I am saying. He's going to hold the job for now because he's still got the future to improve (and because Carolina spent the 1st overall pick on him) but I don't think he'll improve enough to remain a starter by the end of the 2015 season.

So, your Skins "fandom" is somehow challenged if you don't see eye-to-eye w/ your fellow posters about another player? Get real. Love the Skins, but I'm a fan of Cam Newton. He's a hell of a player and his future is VERY bright. He's in an awful situation in Carolina and they need to get him some help along with some coaches that have a clue. He's not absolved from blame because he is having a down year, but some of the criticism is unjust when you're basing your opinion of him off of hearsay or judgement. Go ahead...call me out for my screen name and say that "of course a guy like RA would have Cam's back" or some **** like that. I'm not perfect. Nowhere close...but I like to look at things as objectively as I can. Piling on dude for how he spends his money, how he smiles, or his perceived demeanor for not shaking the hand of WR after TD is insane and some real sucker stuff. Cam is polarizing. I get it. But you'd be crazy to think that some of this criticism isn't OD.
