Default JPP: Facing Brees will be 'easier' than RG3

Did a search and didn't see this posted yet, so here this is.

Jason Pierre-Paul thinks it will be "easier" facing Drew Brees this week than trying to figure out what Robert Griffin III was going to do with the ball at any given moment.

After trying to deal with the headache that is Washington's option offense in a 17-16 loss on Monday night, Pierre-Paul is looking forward to facing a more traditional offense and quarterback -- even if it means contending with the prolific Brees.

Looks like JPP is looking forward to playing a more "traditional" QB.

Do people even try to understand what others are trying to say any more? He's not putting Brees down or slighting him in any way. He's saying that the option is tougher mentally than going against a more traditional offense. Does anyone doubt this is the case for a defensive end? He's really just stating the obvious!

Of course anyone with half of a brain knows this. The fact that it can be used as bb material is what's funny about it.

If he wasn't about to play Brees and the Saints, who have shredded them for over over 150 points in their last four meetings, I'd agree. But that's the problem, they have a history, and it's not favorable to the Giants. He's not entirely wrong, but it's kind of dumb to say, as it sounds very much like he's saying Brees is some average traditional QB, when Brees is an elite QB.

It'd be sort of like if Brady said playing the Giants was going to be much easier than playing Houston or something because NYG has a weaker defense. Yeah, it's true, the Giants have a weaker D (Houston is 2nd in yards and 4th in points compared to NYG's 22nd and 9th), but we all know how that ended in the two previous matchups of note.

Saints are on the road..whole different world........its gonna be chilly. Giants are hungry now....finally. I expect good things.

I said this before the Redskin game. Giants match up better with conventional QB's. Vick shreds em too. They cant do what they like to do.

Yeah, whatever helps them blow a couple more games, and allows us to handle our business and win the East
