Picks, Pats, and Pardons Week 14

Bengals came through as another correct lock of the week and I steadied myself after a poor effort in week 12. Got a little bit of a bad beat on the Cowboys -10 with the Eagles late punt return TD, but I correctly hit on the over in that game which was almost decided by halftime. Missed pretty badly on the Panthers -3 in KC, but the events 24 hours prior were obviously hard to predict.

Denver at Oakland: I'm taking the Broncos here regardless, but I am on the fence a bit about whether or not the Raiders will keep it close. I generally lean towards the underdog in divisional games with huge spreads, but Oakland has been barely competitive lately and I wouldn't advise hitching your wagon to them at this point. I'll split the difference and say Denver emerges with a workmanlike victory.

Kleese, Are you personally wagering on these picks or is this simply for the fun of seeing how you do? IMHO there are a couple of easy picks this week and yes, Denver will steamroll the Raiders. I don't think the Cards have a way to find the end zone against Seattle this weekend, even with the loss of Browner to suspension. We all want you to be correct on that Skins pick of course. To answer your question.... Does it matter?

I actually don't wager much anymore, so it is more for fun. But I do have some friends that use my picks as a guide. Each week I advise to place two "units" on my lock and a single unit (whatever that is for you) on the others. If you followed that weekly this year you'd be way up. In past years I've been closer (a little over or a little under) to .500
