What is Kirk Cousins worth?

His value just increased a lot sadly, but even before the injury I was saying that it would take at least a first to pry him away. For a first, I would have pulled the trigger. Now, there's no deal out there that gets him unless someone wants to offer a Herschel Walker/Ricky Williams kind of trade.

Yeah, I'd much rather him not be worth as much... I also hate being wrong. But, RG3 needs to figure out this whole running thing or he could permanently damage himself.

I said it in the game thread at the half, I said it after the game and I'll say it again: Cousins should've been under center at the start of the third quarter. He has proven himself not only as a backup, but as a starter this season. RGIII looked great during the first quarter, but when he seemed to tweak his knee toward the end of the quarter, things went down hill pretty fast (though he did manage to throw a TD afterward). I can understand Shanahan keeping him in there during the 2nd quarter, but it was obvious that he wasn't ready to roll by the start of the half.

Cousins is extremely valuable to us and I think it's in our best interest to keep him around.

Considering Cousins will be starting next year, I guess we'll find out what he's worth.

If Cousin's gets all the snaps this offseason, I think we'll see a very good version of Shanahan's Denver offense. Being able to rely on the defense more will help the offense substantially, especially since we should wind up with a few upgrades on the defensive side. Much like the Texans actually (with Cousins doing his best Schaub impression, lol). Cousins will likely never be near as good as Griffin, but I could see the team improving enough to make some question that.

If Kirk has to play for a significant portion of 2013; we will parlay that into draft picks in 2014. Kirk is going no where next year but if has to play alot next year, I see high demand for him in 2014. If we find out Robert is going to miss alot of time in 2013; I could see us drafting Kirk's eventually replacement with a low round pick.

If Kirk wants to play in this league; then he will have to step it up next year while Robert is gone. He does at least decent and that would lead to him being a starter someone in 2014.

Na I really don't think that would happen...It's Robert's team. When he's ready to come back, he's the QB. However, I expect cousins to be our QB till at least October

Completely agree! We have seen his value and currently it is more than any draft pick.

if we are at 7-2 then no you don't make the change if the offense is working. Much as I want Robert back in and in control you don't throw a monkey wrench into the works like that. I think at that point you stick with whats been working until it is no longer working or until 2014.
