Regardless of the risk, I cannot imagine handcuffing RG3 by taking his speed and elusiveness out of the game plan.

Also, this idea that a running quarterback cannot (or is unlikely to) have a long and successful career is simply false.

-John Elway played 15 years (774 rushing attempts).
-Fran Tarkenton played 17 years (675 rushing attempts).
-Steve Young played 12 years (722 rushing attempts).
-Heck, even McNabb played 12 years (616 attempts).

Anyway I think Elway, Young, and Tarkenton are good counter-examples to the "running QBs are doomed to short careers" argument.

Let RG3 be RG3 please. Do not limit him out of fear!

Elway knew how to slide though... I hope RG3 learns and he has gotten better. GREAT WIN and NOW i finally believe this team is DIFFERENT. HAIL!!!!

Beat me to it I see, also I forgot about Cunningham, so there is another example besides Elway, Young, and Tarkenton.

For the record: Randall played 16 years and had 775 rushing attempts.

So much for that argument I guess.

The press asked a Redskins executive about the salary cap penalty and the executive responded, "Ask John Mara." So the press asked Mara and he said, “What they did was in violation of the spirit of the salary cap. "

Oh I see now, even though there was no actual salary cap in 2010 according to the CBA, the "spirit" of the salary cap still existed. Thanks for clearing that up Mara.

I don't know why, but this dude always has me on edge. Like every play, I'm 50% feeling something spectacular is going to happen and 50% he's going to get blasted by somebody. Very uneasy feeling during a game

Meant that more like "the way we're playing the Giants need all the help they can get". Sorry.

We appear to be lucky. More I look at it on replay, looks like a nasty hyperextension. I would not get away with that with my body make up but some unique athletes can bend in crazy ways. We/he Just got lucky on the angle. He could walk on it but I think after the throw to Garcon, it hyperextended again when he planted. Just my thoughts. Knee brace will protect it but limit mobility.

The feeling you're looking for is "excitement". It's been so long since we've seen it that it's an understandable mistake.
